Hygiene and standard food pricing
It is sad to say that there is no proper cleanliness maintained. While during my recent travel on the Vasco express from Velankani to Madgaon on 18th Aug’26 came across a lot of cockroaches in the AC compartments and roaming on the berths which can even enter the ears while asleep. Cleanliness is the key to a healthy life. Specially during a long journey one should be comfortable. It is also noticed that the rates of food items were not standardised and should be standardised as items are sold at different prices. The quality of tea & coffee is not worth the price. There are a lot of passenger’s that are diabetic and therefore prefer tea or coffee without sugar. Sugar Sachita can be offered if required. It would be advisable to display a list of items sold by IRCTC with prices to avoid anyone being cheated.

Making RailOne Even More Customer-Centric
There is a significant difference between RailOne and IRCTC. RailOne feels much more customer-centric, simple, and intuitive, making it easier for anyone to navigate and use. The overall experience is more streamlined and user-friendly.
However, there is always room for improvement. One feature I would strongly recommend is a more visual and interactive journey experience, similar to what is available in apps like ixigo.
For example:
Interactive seat/berth view: Allow passengers to visually see their exact seat/berth and understand its position within the coach.
Coach layout: Show the complete coach arrangement so passengers can easily identify their coach, seat, entry points, and nearby facilities.
Train route map: Provide an interactive map showing the complete train route, upcoming stations, current location, and journey progress.
Live journey tracking: Let passengers easily see where the train is currently located and how many stations are remaining.
These features would make RailOne even more customer-centric and visually intuitive, especially for passengers who are travelling by train for the first time or are unfamiliar with the coach layout.
Overall, RailOne is definitely a step in the right direction. With continuous improvements based on actual passenger feedback, it has the potential to become a truly comprehensive railway super-app.

Disappointing app
I urgently needed to book a Tatkal ticket and therefore attempted to make the reservation through the RailOne app. However, the app’s performance was extremely disappointing. During the crucial booking window, the application kept buffering continuously and failed to process the booking request. By the time the app became responsive, all available Tatkal tickets had already been booked, leaving me with no option except a waiting-list ticket.
The very purpose of a Tatkal booking platform is to facilitate quick and efficient ticket reservations during a highly time-sensitive period. An app that remains stuck on buffering when users need it the most defeats its intended purpose. The persistent technical delays and poor responsiveness resulted in the loss of an opportunity to secure a confirmed ticket, causing considerable inconvenience and frustration.
It appears that the app is unable to handle peak booking traffic effectively, which raises serious concerns regarding its reliability for Tatkal reservations. I request that this issue be investigated and appropriate corrective measures be taken to ensure that users do not suffer similar hardships in the future.

Excellent Improvement Over the Old IRCTC App
I used to use the IRCTC app, but the user experience was not very good. I often wondered why private company apps felt much better than government apps.
That has changed with the RailOne app. The app is easy to use, well designed, and better than many private apps. It includes all the important IRCTC features in one place. We can book both reserved and unreserved tickets, check train running status, view coach positions, and access other railway services conveniently.
Overall, RailOne has significantly improved the railway booking experience. Great job by the team!

Deserves nothing more than 0
The worst app ever created by mankind. Booking a tatkal ticket on this disaster of an app feels harder than surviving a psychological experiment. I entered passenger details, got randomly logged out, logged back in, entered everything again, and the same thing happened. Fifteen times. FIFTEEN. And every single time, after wasting minutes retyping everything like an idiot, the app rewards me with this masterpiece of engineering:“Unable to process request.” Half an hour of pure torture. Tickets still clearly available. More than 100 seats showing. Yet this thing refuses to do the one thing it was built to do.
This isn’t an app. It’s a punishment mechanism disguised as software. The UI is garbage, the servers are prehistoric, and the entire experience feels like the developers actively hate human beings.
Wouldn’t wish this experience on my worst enemy. And if anyone from the team actually reads reviews, go fix your completely useless excuse for an app.
