Why you adding garbage chatGPT to viber and options no one is asking for ?!??! I don’t want translate because simple does not make sense. I am not chatting with some random people from other countries and languages . I have used viber for years but it is time to consider competition.
ChatGPT introduction has ruined Viber
I have been an avid user of Viber since 2009. Viber has been awesome for chatting with friends and family with good privacy and security independent from Google and Meta and other apps that want to harvest your data. Until this latest update, when ChatGPT was forced upon us without invitation. I don’t value or even want to see ChatGPT in my Viber interactions, but this update does NOT give me an option to remove all ChatGPT actions from my chats. It inserts uninvited and distracting “translate” and “summarise” messages throughout my chat. It inserts an unmovable “chat with ChatGPT” permanent chat which I can’t delete. And my complaints to Viber support are routinely met with no action, “you can just not use these features” glibly assuming that I should just suck it up. Unless Viber gives me the option very soon to turn ChatGPT features off completely to restore Viber to the ChatGPT-free beauty it was before this update, I may be forced to find another messaging app after 17 years as a particularly happy user. If ChatGPT is considered a positive feature just make it an opt-in feature not a mandated feature with no opt-out!

Latest update forces built in ChatGPT and translate features with no way to opt out. Although using it is “optional”, feels very invasive to not be able to remove these, it is a terrible idea and unfair to users.

Stop showing AI Features
10+ year user here. Please stop forcing AI features on us. The huge translate button on every message, the ChatGPT bot in the chat list, and the separate AI tab are completely ruining the app's clean layout. At the absolute minimum, add a toggle in the settings to let us turn these off. I am giving 1 star just for these unwanted / un-hideable features.

I don’t know what new features they added, but I know they added annoying ADS, annoying AI(nobody wants your stupid CHAt GPT), and unwarranted Business Inbox. Like who tf is asking for these things? Multiple Critical Bugs – Messages Stuck, Voice Playback Broken, Audio Routing Glitch
Hi Viber Support Team,
I’m experiencing several persistent issues with the app that are making it nearly unusable. I’d appreciate an urgent fix or at least acknowledgment of these bugs.
1. Messages not sending / stuck on your server
Frequently, my messages fail to send and remain stuck with a pending status. They do not deliver until I manually restart the app or toggle airplane mode. This happens on both Wi-Fi and mobile data.
2. Voice messages force me to close the app
Every time I listen to a voice message, the app becomes unresponsive or the playback glitches in a way that forces me to fully close and reopen Viber to continue using it.
3. Cannot switch to speaker mode
When I try to switch a voice call or voice message from earpiece to speaker, the button often does nothing. The audio remains locked to the phone earpiece even after multiple taps.
4. Audio randomly auto-switches between speaker and earpiece
During calls or voice message playback, the audio sometimes jumps to speaker on its own, then immediately switches back to the phone earpiece without me touching anything. This is disruptive and makes private listening impossible.

Annoying new translate feature
“Tanslate” button comes with every message. It doesn’t make sense. If I wanted a message to be translated, it should be a covert option. It is very confusing in a glance which of them is the real message. Above all of it, there is no option to turn it off. Please do something about it.
