About

Say "Hey Siri, Rapture this" and just talk. Rapture records, stops when you stop speaking, and turns your words into a clean, organized note. You never touch the phone. YOUR NOTES SHOW UP WHERE YOU NEED THEM This is the part no other voice app does: finished notes can send themselves. Your shopping list lands in Google Tasks. Meeting notes land in Google Drive. Ideas land in Slack, Notion, or on your Mac — automatically, seconds after you stop talking. You speak once; Rapture files it for you. NOTHING TO SET UP, NOTHING TO CLEAN UP - Works completely hands-free — in the car, on a walk, carrying groceries - Recording stops on its own when you stop talking - Filler words removed, grammar fixed, a title added - To-dos become checkboxes, and a Tasks tab collects every open to-do across all your notes PRIVATE, FOR REAL Everything happens on your iPhone. Your voice is never uploaded to be transcribed — no internet connection is needed to record, transcribe, or format a note. There's no account to create, and no company server holding your thoughts. Notes leave your phone only when you tell Rapture where to send them. For the technically minded: speech-to-text runs on the Apple Neural Engine and formatting runs on a local AI model, fully offline. 25 LANGUAGES, ALL ON-DEVICE Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Maltese, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, and Ukrainian. FREE FOREVER Recording, transcription, formatting, search, tasks, and your full note history are free. So is sharing by hand: share sheet, email, or iMessage. ONE PURCHASE, NOT A SUBSCRIPTION A single one-time purchase turns on automatic delivery: your Mac (with the free Rapture for Mac app), Google Drive, iCloud Drive, Slack, Discord, Google Tasks, and Notion. Smart routing sends the right kind of note to the right place, and if a send ever fails, one tap retries it. One thing to know: Rapture needs about 1.4 GB of speech and formatting models. On iOS 26 they arrive with the App Store install — nothing to wait for. On earlier iOS versions they download once on first launch (Wi-Fi recommended). Either way, no connection is needed to capture afterward. Rapture is for people who think faster than they type — and whose ideas deserve to end up somewhere useful, not in a pile of recordings.

What's New in Rapture

1.0.344

July 30, 2026

Auto-stop on silence now works the way the setting describes. With it on, recordings you start from the Record screen end themselves when you stop talking. With it off, they run until you tap stop. Siri and Shortcut captures always stop on their own, so hands-free capture behaves the same either way. The default silence window moved from 3 to 4 seconds. That leaves a little more room to pause mid-thought without cutting the recording short. Also: on iOS 26, Rapture's speech and formatting models now arrive with the App Store install. New installs open straight into recording instead of waiting on a 1.4 GB download. On earlier iOS versions that download still happens once on first launch, but it no longer restarts when your screen locks. Rapture keeps the display awake until it finishes, so you can set the phone down and walk away. Longer recordings also produce cleaner notes. Occasionally a long capture would pick up a stray to-do or detail that was never said — those no longer make it into your notes.
