Users can search through a directory of practitioners and researchers to communicate directly via an end-to-end encrypted, telehealth compliant platform with text and video chat functionality, following strict PIPEDA and HIPAA regulations to ensure the security and privacy of all users. An integrated ecommerce engine allows users to shop for medical / wellness products, while a secure community space allows users to participate in polls, share and search for information, and get support. By enabling users’ interaction through this platform, it is Rare Disease Foundation’s hope that an ongoing exchange of information between all parties will lead to breakthroughs and advancements in rare disease treatments and cures.
