Can’t beat it for the value
I used a more premium (and very expensive) app called Future for roughly four years and just switched to Ray. Big fan so far, has all the basic functionality you would expect and they are working on adding more and better features. The price is truly amazing - if you have a home gym (or at least weights, bands, etc) and the discipline, Ray is a fantastic solution.

App Doesn’t Track Reps
I was looking for a replacement to Jrny and found this app. After I signed up, which requires you give them your phone number, I started my trial and began a workout. Nothing in this app works as advertised. Newest app version 1.1.24and IOS version 26.5.2. No rep tracking as advertised. Turned on the camera and was never shown anything, no permissions in app settings to even allow the camera to turn on. False advertising

Got me Moving
Really enjoying this app, got me Moving and feeling good. Exactly what I needed.
Got me working out again, but I can’t see continued used
Easy to set up and start. For some reason, I keep going back to this app so it’s got me working out again, and for that I am eternally grateful. However, after my 3-month I don’t see paying again unless there are several big changes.
There are not enough exercises. It is the same ones (that I don’t like) over and over. I get bored easily, but also have several physical limitations and no matter how often I try to update my preferences, it will still show me several exercises I have repeatedly said I cannot do. Lunges for example- but then to swap out lunges it will just show 10 other versions of lunges. Overhead exercises-again to swap out it will only offer 10 more overhead press exercises.
It even continues to show exercises I do not have equipment for-I do not have a box why all the step ups?!
The focus for Upper and Lower body is on the same areas-like several shoulder exercises instead of including compound exercises and then targeted exercises for bicep, tricep, delts etc. At this rate I’m just going to end up with really big shoulders & straining my neck.
Would be better if there was an option to select our own exercises, or favorites, from a list & would save more time. Before I start to work out, it takes me at least 10 minutes to review.
Trainers: During the workout, the trainers or AI robots? will not be doing the same reps as you. If I have 10 reps sometimes they are doing upwards of 15-so you have to count yourself, defeats the purpose of having a body double.
They are also expressionless and will provide no energy, watching them almost sucks the energy out of the room.
Overall, this AI is just not capable of replacing or keeping up with the nuances of its human users.

So far so good
I’ve always wanted to tone up/ weight train, but I never quite knew where to start. When I stumbled across this app and saw that there’s demonstrations and walk throughs on how to do each exercise, a plan is created for you depending on fitness level, you get feed back via the app or text. After the free trial I’m going to continue since it’s quite affordable. Please don’t stop updating the routines. I wanna be a toned beyotch!

Active Senior
Great for 55+ that is recovering from multiple surgeries and keeps very active!
Horrible
Terrible waste of money. Told multiple times to avoid specific exercise due to injury. I would expect ai to suggest exercises to help recovery. Not only did it take not go that far it repeatedly included exercise in my workout. Trying to swap exercises during workout it would have me repeat exercises if just done.

Great stretching
Great stretch workout
Worth a review
I just discovered this app and I’m honestly shocked more people aren’t talking about it yet. It’s super budget-friendly and has been absolutely amazing so far. I’m not sure if it’s newer and that’s why there aren’t many reviews yet, but I’m genuinely excited to share it with people. There’s no referral bonus or anything — I just truly think it’s that valuable and worth checking out.

Love this!
Just wish it knew all the equipment in the gym but otherwise met all my needs - talks, adapts, variety - all the things I wanted!
Highly recommend!!

Great Exercises
I’m just getting back to working out. Exercises have been manageable and a great start to working out. Gives me a place to start a regular routine. Love this app
Obsessed
Ray is fantastic. Especially for working moms trying to squeeze in a workout in the few spare minutes you have. Can’t wait to keep going.
Great app
I love Ray so far! The workouts are customizable depending on what I can do for that day. I have the monthly subscription before shoulder surgery next month and will definitely get Ray back when I’m done with rehab.
Almost there
I came from Fitbod and Fitify, both really solid apps, and I was hoping Ray would be the perfect mix of the two with smarter AI that could work around my shoulder and other small injuries. There are definitely things I like — the workouts feel fresh and the AI chat is super convenient. However, I’ve run into some frustrating issues. When I ask the AI to use heavier weights or skip an exercise because I just did the same one yesterday, it says it’s making the change but the workout stays exactly the same. Also, the app claims to support kettlebells, rowing, and assault bike, but I’ve yet to see those options actually appear in my plans even though I selected them. The foundation is good, so I hope the team fixes the bugs and equipment integration soon.
