Nice and Clean but Limited

It’s a nice clean app; my viewpoint about “being limited” is tied to the fact that this app doesn’t support backing tracks.

After trying out nearly a dozen or more apps for digital sheet music players, I stumbled upon Real Piano Score which is exactly what I was looking for. Unlike many other piano learning apps, where you’re limited to their own song lists, Real Piano Score will allow you to import files from your own database which does require a one time fee of $8.99. The interface is simple and slick. My digital piano was recognized by the app automatically. It has all the features you’ll need in a piano learning app. Oh, by the way, the one time fee is a steal!
I would highly recommend this app to anyone who has some knowledge of music theory/piano technique and wants to play whatever piece of music that they fancy.

Great because it supports MusicXML, but doesn’t support repeating notes properly

Has a bug where it doesn’t wait for a note if the previous note was the same. For example, if a measure has 2 Cs followed by a D, in wait mode, the app will jump straight to the D note the first time the C key is pressed. Maybe this doesn’t happen w/all keyboards, but happens with my Casio PX-870 and it diminishes the experience significantly. It doesn’t happen with the app’s built-in keyboard, but that’s little consolation.

Perfect for learning and teaching.

I purchased this app because i needed a app to teach me more piano songs. It is perfect for beginners starting off. With a one time only purchase you get so many good songs and a good piano practicing theory to better your finger movements which you really need to have for starting off.
You do not have to purchase a monthly subscription which is a huge plus and why i purchased it. Well worth your money purchase. Get it for your kids to use. I will be using it to teach my kids as well.

Wonderful!!

This app is absolutely wonderful! I began learning piano on a different app rather than in person lessons and I have since graduated beyond what that one in particular could provide. I really enjoy learning this way where the notes to be played are highlighted as I go along and it waits for me to play the correct notes while also showing the keys on a piano. This app has everything one could want in continuing to learn piano and I couldn’t be happier! It is worth every cent for the paid version and I am thrilled that it is a one time payment. I was unhappy with all of the subscription apps. I am excited to learn more songs that this app provides and the way it works is amazing! I love how you can upload your own converted sheet music to learn whatever you want and the loop feature is incredibly helpful when piecing out sections to practice. I am also excited to see what the lessons can teach me that are also included! Thank you for making this app. I am looking forward to using all of the features you offer and I have only begun to enjoy it.

Great App - Excellent Support

App will be very helpful with my daughter’s piano lessons. In-app purchase comes with quite a good selection of music to practice with all at different levels of difficulty. There is also a theory section to practice scales, chords, sight reading, etc.

You can import your own material as well in MusicXML or MIDI format. Developer was super responsive with email support as well. Thank you!

Great sheet music app

Really wonderful app for learning piano sheet music. It works great and has a nice library of songs. My absolute favorite part is that it doesn’t require a subscription.

Hello, the app is intended to render conventional music sheet in a realistic manner. While music apps usually only show music notes, this app also shows all other music symbols in the music sheet. Someone interested in using real music sheets would usually use an actual piano. So we would expect the user to connect their piano with the app as the app has not been designed to play within it.

Incredible tool for any skill level

I love this app I’m so happy it exists. I was a classically trained musician for about ten years and could read sheet music and play piano. However as I took a break I got rusty and I feel like a beginner again. This has been crucial in helping me familiarize myself with sheet music, piano, everything. I would have loved it back when I was younger!

Great idea but buggy

It’s so nearly excellent, but it crashes a lot when selecting menus and the play mode is highly erratic. When I put it in play mode, sometimes it plays but often it just is the same as wait mode - you have to play keys to move it forward. In wait mode left and right hands are selected by colours. It’s not entirely clear why the colours have been chosen and you just have to remember - the icon gives no indication. There is a time bar across the top. You can drag a green dot along it but it makes no difference to where the cursor is in the score - it does play the keys on the keyboard at the bottom according to where the timer is in the score - at least I guess that it is - as you don’t really know where the cursor is it’s not totally clear. I’ve paid for this, so I’d be interested to get feedback on whether these are known issues that are being worked on. I’d really like this to work because you can see that it could be excellent, but right now it’s just frustrating.
