This was even worse than the X app. I went through my son’s search history and it was absolutely DISTURBING to see as a mother.
App ruins the reddit experience
Long time user of platform and this app is just atrociously bad and completely ruins the experience for me. Constantly refreshes to push more ads (of which there are many) in your face, so I’m constantly losing what I was looking at/responding to. Can’t even access through an actual mobile browser and forces app usage. Terrible app, get your heads out of your asses.

Stop Pushing the App
The website works just fine! I was already sick of having to request desktop website every time I looked at Reddit for more than .0002 seconds, and now that stupid popup for the app gets in the way THERE, too. It’s just a reminder to stop scrolling that makes me spend LESS time on Reddit. Who thought this was a good idea?

Rating 1 star for the comment section ads… designed so as you are collapsing comments in a thread to read through you inevitably click the ad that pops up posing as a comment. Gross. Everything that’s wrong with the modern internet and app experience.
Somehow they continue to delete reviews.

Whoever updated this app did another terrible job. Truly an awful experience. You sit here and wonder why so many of us refuse to do advertising with you. Maybe start by offering a usable app first. Something not designed for accidental clicks.

Every home page post is 4-5 days old
They removed the ability to sort homepage and now every post I see after refreshing is 4-5days old or an ad. Useless “front page of the internet”

Would’ve been a 5 if it wasn’t mandatory to add a flair but the site gives it freedom.

Reddit basically makes you download the app and I hate that. I wish I could look at Reddit on safari but alas I need the app.

I’d say the dumbest thing about Reddit is that you cannot change your number if you no longer have access to it. You can’t even delete the account which is the dumbest thing.
