Aids and Abets Criminals

While the “humanitarian” premise which this app claims to be based upon seems good it also has the huge potential to be abused by criminals coming into the country illegally. I was under the impression apps that possibly can be used for criminal purposes aren’t typically allowed in the AppStore; it’s actually not that surprising Apple looks the other way though since they are of course a very left leaning company.

Response from developer

Hello. What do you mean it crashes? The app does require that you allow it to know your location in order to show you the services which are nearest to you. But you can determine in the phone settings whether to leave this on all the time - in which case if any of the service providers want to send time sensitive information to people in your general area they an - or just when you are using the app. Perhaps you can try with the minimal - "just while you are using the app." We have tested this on all versions supported by Apple and it does indeed work, so I'm not sure where you are having the problem. Please feel free to explain it here. Thank you.

Bigotry cannot be hidden.

Those leaving bad reviews may think that their anonymity protects them against being judged for their bigotry. They should ask themselves a question. If they’re so certain that their beliefs are good and right, what reason is there to hide and be cowardly? Good people have no reason to hide behind a mask and evil cannot be disguised by one. You think you’re anonymous, but you cannot hide from yourselves even when you fool yourselves that no one else sees what you truly are. You hide because you’re aware of your own darkness and cruelty. You hate goodness and kindness in others because you envy it. You’re not incapable of it. You’ve chosen to be cold and dead and cruel. Don’t blame anyone else for that and don’t expect good people to follow just because their caring makes you uncomfortable. Grow up and live with how you choose to be or change yourself. Quit expecting the universe to stop for you.

Amazing resource for helping others

I don’t understand the extremely negative reviews posted to undermine this app because what these people are doing is amazing and incredibly helpful to individuals who are desperately in need of assistance, have in most cases lost everything even their loved ones, and faced hardships that the more fortunate individuals who are against helping migrants and even citizens within America and other countries this app is available in, which this app also resources for, such as homeless vets. For the developers keep up the selfless and incredibly kind deeds you are accomplishing with your talents and compassion

It’s ok.

How about an app to help the many, many homeless American veterans?

Response to devs response to me.

I didn’t say a thing about migrants or anger. You did. Also I’ve never asked for a or taken a handout once in my life.

Please stop assuming you know me and what my views are. 1 star for being presumptive of your reviewers.

We do have an app to help the homeless and vets. It is called LifeSpots. Our goal is to help everyone who needs help to find it. Your rating obviously expresses anger at migrants and refugees, but the vast majority of people helped by this app in the United States are legal immigrants. And we all deserve help sometime. Even you.

Amazing resource for those in desperate need

This app ties together lots of information from different services that are working to help refugees in different aspects. Refugees can find where to have a hot shower, a hot meal, free legal services, English classes, groups for men and women, immigration services... and many more.

This is an incredible resource. Before this app a refugee would have had to spend hours tracking down the right service they needed - provided they even knew about it. Now they can search for what they need in seconds.

Mapping all these services is a great benefit to the people that have been marginalized in their countries. My hope is more people learn about this and spread the word!
