This is Relay, rebuilt. Not a refresh — a new foundation. We rethought and rewrote the app from the ground up, engineered for speed and efficiency on the devices your team actually carries. It starts faster, moves faster, and holds steady through a full shift on real-world networks. Everything you count on is still here, and all of it is quicker to reach. NEW: SCANNER CHANNEL Stop choosing which channel to miss. Build a Scanner Channel from two or more of your channels and monitor them all at once. Every message comes through — no switching, no guessing where the traffic is. Hold the talk button and you answer straight back on the most recent channel to speak, so you can jump into a conversation without hunting for it first. Need to stay locked on what matters most? Turn on transmission lock and your replies always go to your top-priority channel, no matter what else is coming in around it. Name your scanner, pick its channels, and reconfigure it whenever the job changes. Scanner Channel is available to accounts with the add-on enabled — talk to your Relay administrator to switch it on. NEW: PHOTO MESSAGING Show it, don't spell it out. You can now send photos in your messages. Capture the leak, the damaged pallet, the room that needs attention, or the handwritten note taped to the door, and send it right where the conversation is already happening. It lands in the same thread as your voice and text, so the whole picture stays in one place. NEW: AVAILABILITY MODES Heads-down when you need it. Reachable when it counts. Availability Modes give you simple, one-tap control over incoming audio and notifications: Available — everything comes through, just as you'd expect. Critical Alerts — only the urgent messages break through, so you can concentrate without going dark or get alerted off-shift. Silenced — quiet time, for the moments that call for it. Switch modes in a tap from anywhere in the app. Your team's most important messages still find you. ADMIN TOOLS HAVE A NEW HOME Site setup and account administration — buildings, floors and rooms, beacons, indoor positioning, and user provisioning — have moved into a dedicated app: Relay Admin, available now on the App Store. This is good news on both sides. Administrators get a purpose-built tool designed for the work, instead of a section buried inside a communications app. And Relay itself gets lighter and more focused for the people using it on shift — which means we can ship improvements here far more often and grow the features that matter to your frontline team.
