Auto open happens when home
New version updated. Door keeps auto opening when it should not. Done it 3-4 times today i been either already home or a long way away. Not great so turned function off
Needs to work properly with new IOS 26
Has issues with not detecting location, then 30 mins later detects it and then opens and closes gates and doors several times, thinking I had arrived.

Please add it to CarPlay. It would be so handy to open the gate on car’s infotainment screen
No internet connection
Wifi works. Bluetooth works. No connection through internet. Only reason I bought it.
Constant HomeKit issues
Sometimes it connects to HomeKit, sometimes it doesn’t. No rhyme or reason…. Constantly says “the garage door is not responding”… then will work perfectly the next time.
All other HomeKit devices work in the house.

Super frustrating app works less than half the time. Apple watch app completely useless the only thing it does: shows button to press and then does nothing.
Great, with a minor flaw.
The remootio system is great for not having to carry a remote around with you. Also setting someome else up to use our gate, even temporarily is a breeze. Opening and closing the gate over the Internet is perfect for someone forgetful like me too.
The only downside I found is auto open as you approach is 50/50 whether it works at all. I've also found that it actually triggers auto open after I arrive home and bring the app (which it says it can't do and a minor security issue if you don't notice). First world problem but it would be a good feature to get right for a gate and would make the system 5 star for me.

What’s the point of a car app that doesn’t support CarPlay. It’s a nuisance having to dig about for my mobile every time I arrive at my garage. Pay the fee and do right by your customers.

Alert option
Please add a feature to send an alert when the gate has been left open for chosen amount of time. Auto close is not always the best option.
OK but lacks car play
Please update so that it'll work with car play. It seems daft that the purpose of Remootio is to enable garage doors and gates to be operated but it's challenging to do this from a car without the option for car play

This app is ok…at best. I have lots of connectivity issues with the app and I know they have as much to do with ISP’s but you should be able to find a way around that. I had a widget for ages Thats now disappeared on iOS which is a huge shame and need to be replaced. Looks like a licensing issue. Please just pay the fees for car play and widgets. Make our lives easier. Please.

Excellent product and service
The app is being used on a gate for a small HOA. Everything works as advertised. We did have an issue with our carrier. Remootio sent a replacement modem to rule out our equipment. Issue was the phone carrier’s Primary Place of Usage was set to the wrong address. I highly recommend this product and company.

Great app for gates
Has some great features like auto open and wifi remote opening, sometimes it requires an app shut down but it's been pretty reliable overall

Wifi on IPad does not work maybe rewrite the IPhone App for IPad specifically.

It's not obvious there are two buttons in the circle. An option to have a green / red tint would make sense

Truly a WONDER of an app!!!
This app has been a life saver and a convenience. Plus the features of it are remarkable. So many times when I don’t have the remote or I don’t want to carry the remote and just my phone, the app has been such a BIG CONVENIENCE. Of course I haven’t read all the negative reviews, but they make it so easy to install, so easy to use, and extra features that are SO useful. I wish they advertise this thing more better. I luckily found this through doing some research… but I could have missed it. Besides the usefulness of not carrying the remote, they made features where it can be connected through Bluetooth or through cellular or WiFi. So if I have like a ring app and family needs to get in the house, I can just open the gate and/or garage for them. Another convenience is no I’m renting out the house, I can share a “guest pass” to certain people with limited features. These programmers are on top of the game!!!!! Yeah it might take a few seconds to open the gate with the app, but come on…. Like what 5 extra seconds?!?!

Also some people have complained about the magnetic sensor sometimes not detecting if the gate is open or closed. I found an easy fix to that. Just put more neodymium magnets in a little area surrounding where you put the original magnet. And it will catch the sensor. Sometimes the sensor could be a little off. But no biggy….
