Avoid this app!
Nonsensical app. The field you type the new name into has a white font on a white background. I simply want to open a picture and rename it, not make duplicates. Waste of money!!!!

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We identified a display issue affecting parts of Rename Photos when the device was using Dark Mode, and this has been corrected in version 2.5. Rename Photos intentionally preserves your original photos and exports renamed copies, so your original library remains untouched. Version 2.5 also includes additional improvements to batch renaming and the export experience. We appreciate you taking the time to report the issue, and we hope you’ll give the updated version another try.
Don’t waste your money
I needed to rename a photo for a website that does not permit any special characters including underscore. This app does not let you choose your own name. You can choose a word after which it adds an underscore and a number. Extremely misleading

Thanks for the feedback — this has now been improved. You can now fully customize filenames, including choosing your own names without forced formatting, and optionally add numbering when needed.
