Make it better
The app is consistently having me sign in every 10 seconds, i cant view my msg’s on the app version so i have to go on browser version, and then someone will respnd about a house theyre renting but then the property wont show up again… and then when i look at a msg response, it wont let me view the property attached to the msg. Get a better app development team plz

Hassle, Frustrating
Rentler app is primarily for tenants and not landlords. I wouldn't have chosen Rentler if I'd known this. They need a landlord app or fix this one so we can check payments easily on our phone. It's ridiculous having to log into the website, deal with two-factor authentication, check my email, and log back in just to see if a payment came through. Huge hassle. I DO NOT recommend Rentler!

Had a rental “available” when it already sold 3 weeks prior.
My husband and I applied to rent a home and went and submitted $45 for each application on Feb 21, 2026. I was checking our application process and it still says that it is pending as of February 28, 2026 so I go into look at the property and it said that it was no longer available. So I try to do a back search on Safari and come to find out the home was already sold on Feb 2, 2026. This app seems like it does rental scams to collect fraudulent application fees. Even if this is all a mistake then why would the application still to this day be “pending”.

I detest this service
Main points that make using Rentler suck: you can’t pay over the app, you can’t auto pay in full if your utilities are wrapped into your rent. No such thing as set it and forget it with this program. I must use it because it’s what my landlord uses but I hate Rentler it’s so I convenient. Anywhere I’ve ever rented in the past has been way early give my money. It’s ridiculous. I’m genuinely going to avoid renting with landlords that use Rentler going forward.

FILTERS DO NOT WORK
Filtered to just show townhomes with 3 bedrooms and it proceed to show me apartments and condos and everything else. Super annoying and not helpful at all. The website works way better. Can’t believe something as simple as filters doesn’t work on their app.
404 when trying to sign on
I get a 404 trying to sign in so I cannot use the app

This app is a user interface nightmare. I can’t even search for a listing that I’m already interested in and know the address of. I have to search the general area and click through all of the listings to find it. It’s malfunctioning half of the time, buttons just plain don’t work. The website is just as bad. I downloaded the app hoping it would work better but it doesn’t. I’ve never wanted to continue using an app less in my life, but I have to because the landlords are using it for their background checks.

So difficult to list a property
Been trying to list a home to rent rooms- I’ve tried on the app and now I’m on my Mac but it’s so glitchy. I’m going to try 10 more minutes and I’ll give up. Too bad I read good things about this app. An hour to list a room on an app on two devices is too much.

A pop-up with “forbidden use” disallows from app usage. Also, no map shows up when you rarely get it to work.

Error Code
App shows "Error Forbidden" every few seconds, making the app virtually unusable. Also doesn't show the map at all, and I am unable to search locations. The app is completely dysfunctional.
They won’t filter false listings
They let the apartment company’s post there apartments as houses to get more views. Super annoying and literally defeats the purpose of the app. Deleted and will use Zillow

I have used Rentler Service before. They found the perfect summer apartment, for my enjoyment.
Now I have in the process of finding a long term home to occupy and find the process easy to navigate and have picked a home I like.

Main bug in search
Great app– I’ve found some nice listings. Only thing is there’s a bug with the bedroom search, I can select it but when it comes to actually choosing how many bedrooms, it doesn’t do anything. Hope this helps
Needs mobile app help
Cool concept similar to Zillow but the application process is wonky and has some major roadblocks that don’t allow you to continue unless you guess and avoid getting locked out.
Inaccurate listings
Landlords are allowed to inaccurately list their properties to get views, wasting tenants time. There should be an option to mark properties as “inaccurate listing.”
Why not as interactive as the website?
The app is great if you’re looking for a rental. But, I downloaded because of the features on the website; like being able to pay rent. Kinda shocked it’s not even a feature on the app. Are you planning on upgrading any time soon
Terrible
This app is useless to pay rent through! I can fill out an application, or search rentals through it. My landlord used it to create my entire lease. But EVERY TIME I pull up my rental via this app, it does NOT allow me to pay my rent grouch it, nor does it show my payment history. So as a renter, it’s one pointless app to download when I have to go to the Rentler web browser directly just to pull all that info up.
