Does not work with devices purchased outside of the US

I own a Rheem water heater in the US and was confident buying another for my second home in Colombia - same brand, same reliability, or so I thought. The problem is that the app required to control this device is not available in the US App Store. To download it, you need a Colombian Apple ID, which requires signing out of your current account. But when you try to sign out from another country, Apple’s theft-protection kicks in and blocks you. Rheem is essentially selling a smart device with an app that’s inaccessible to international homeowners. A product this connected should work across regions, or at minimum, Rheem should be upfront about this limitation before purchase.

Great App, Works Great

Haven’t had any issues with the app whatsoever. For those negative reviews out there, first make sure you’re using the most updated version and also have the most updated version of operating software on your phone or tablet. This app makes it easy and seamless to set up the Bluetooth board on furnaces and OD units etc. We use it on every install and also we update the board firmware on every new install and on subsequent service calls later.
Use it for circuitboard change outs as well.

No ability to adjust blower off delay

Disappointed there is no method to adjust the blower off delay for the Endeavor gas furnace.

Useful tool

Nice for registering and looking up info.
Not a huge deal but there are spelling errors here and there. One is installation spelled “instalation” during the registration process.

Easy to use

Just downloaded it. Looks easy to navigate. Haven’t got to use it yet as the equipment is not available just yet. Looks good though

This app is intended for technicians to install, set up, and service Rheem products.
