Still the better Ricoh app
Voicing my wish that this app continues to remain available and receive updates from Ricoh. Although the user is presented with “end of life” notifications, this app continues to work well with my Theta V camera and is fully-featured with wifi and bluetooth image capture and sync on ios26. After looking at the tragic state of their newer Ricoh360 app, and its lack of support for older models as well as lack of features, this app remains the preferred tool.

The gold standard in camera companion software
This app has been the absolute gold standard in camera driver app since it first came out.
Other manufacturers apps often looks like marketing website with a bit of camera functionality bolted on as an afterthought.
This app is such a wonderful contrast: camera functionality is front and centre. Professional controls. Clear layout. Support for every Ricoh Theta ever made. Frequent updates. No advertising, gamification, blogs, in app marketing videos, or any nonsense of any kind.

Discontinued but better than Ricoh 360 app
This Ricoh Theta app was discontinued in 2025. It is better than the new Ricoh 360 app because it does not require an account or agreement of their privacy policy and terms of service, just so you can use your camera.
Constant error message when you try and link to social media
This did work and now it doesn’t. Cannot post 360 images and only viewable on the app.
a total embarrassment to imaging!! INCOMPLETE!
I cannot believe RICOH would present this incomplete app to represent their incredible 360' camera's! The app is nearly useless without a RECORDING VIDEO PREVIEW! The 360' camera, sensor, and hardware is exceptional but the app is lacking, the ridiculously small memory is lacking but improving, and the tiny battery capacity have ‘modders’ busy posting videos on how to fix several these failures. Hopefully the updates keep coming for all models, especially for those of us that spend a lot of money on these 360' cameas. The scalable and zoomable 360' views and perspectives are truly awesome to watch!
