Typical Big Tech
Matterport was built on the backs of the Realestate Photography Network. Now CoStar (Homes.com / Matterport) decided to compete with their customers. Very Zillow of you CoStar, I thought you were going to do it better.
Rooms don’t align and support cannot resolve
For the past two weeks, I’ve been trying to get a Matterport 3-D rendering of our home that we rent.
Despite taking the the photographs multiple times and getting on several emails to support, the same misalignments always occur where it doubles up rooms on top of each other.
There is no fix in the app, despite them saying that there is, and Support is unable to understand and complete the basic alignment changes that I’m requesting.
Therefore this is unusable and has been a waste of several hours of my time.

Great app, blurry photos
This is an amazing app for showcasing a room in 3D and can generate to scale accurate models of rooms or entire floors. However, using the iPhone to capture photos produces subpar results. (iPhone 16 pro). I’ve noticed when capturing 3D scans with LiDAR and regular 360* photos that all photos are quite blurry. Prior to taking a photo, the shot looks clean and I can see text from banners and posters on the phone screen, but once it captures the photo it drops resolution immensely making the final product very blurry and pretty much not worth showing. I’m not sure if this is an issue that others have had but it’s unfortunate for an otherwise great app.

Never Ending Subscription
Matterport requires a regular subscription to there services. They renew their subscription without proper notice and when you cancel it, they refuse to reimburse you—even if you notify them promptly. This is a terrible, greedy corporate policy.
