No user testing?
There are obvious bugs that haven’t been updated for years. Drivers have too much control of the payment feature. Unless they click on ‘paid’ it’ll take 30 minutes after one trip ends before you can call another. Does this make sense when most drivers don’t use the internet? Or can’t read? Trips I paid for months ago still show up as unpaid because the drivers don’t know their way around the payment feature. fix this!!

Poor geolocation and service
Rides do not meet one at pick up spot and when you cancel, Ride charges the passenger. Also, some rides start before picking one up, increasing the fare. Lastly some rides are extremely dirty.
Customer Support Does Not Exist
I was overcharged and money was taken from my wallet and put me into the negative on my account because the driver kept driving on my account after he dropped me off. Now I cannot use my credit card on the app anymore and there is no way to get in contact with support. The number they have listed on the app does not work. Now my wallet balance is in the negative and my credit card payments are always rejected. I have emailed them and they have not responded. The app has a lot of other issues and it’s quite sad that I won’t judge it further because it’s based in Ethiopia but the issue I mentioned is far from unacceptable and an unreachable contact numbers is unfair. I’m a developer and I can report this to Apple because it breaks compliance with some of the requirements for having an app on the platform. If the issue is not addressed I will report this to Apple directly

I similar to must read through the reviews on this app and made a judgement on the lowest starred ones. It wasn’t until I started asking locals what the best way to get around was without getting taken advantage of… everyone said “Ride”… so I downloaded and started using it…what I realized is that yes it does have a location hurdle, but I wouldn’t say it’s a problem. Addis doesn’t have street numbers, only street names, so by default when you’re getting around at all you have to use intersections and landmarks. I realized setting the location yourself was a way better method of getting picked up, and texting the driver the landmarks. I will say this app is on par with an Uber or Lyft. It’s just Ethopia’s infrastructure does work in the apps favor. The app is amazing tho, with very fair pricing.

Drivers scam customers. No support
Be warned, this app allows dishonest drivers to scam unsuspecting customers and take unauthorised funds directly from their credit card. The driver simply pretends to end the journey but does not do so and keeps the journey open. This was done to me. The journey remained open for 30’s and then ver three hours. The driver never answered my messages or phone call. I eventually got through to customer service who helpfully stopped the journey and promised to get my funds returned. But they never did so and simply completely stopped replying to my follow up messages. So users are advised to beware. The app can work very well and be very convenient, but it is vulnerable to scams and you will never get your money back.

Hard to to find a good driver
Drivers are hit or miss. Many will accept a ride and cancel it. Others don’t know how to read a map. There is no feedback process for individual drivers except a 5-star smiley face rating.
Ride Food
The ride food is so slow, i had to wait more than an hour for a food that’s just 10 minutes away and prepared within 15 minutes. I called the call support team i couldn’t get any reason and the person was too rude to even assist me. A very horrible experience, i would suggest other apps for food but great for ride services

I have ordered food and payed via the app . But the rider could not proceed his work because they were not sending him a money and it was for about 1 hour and it was annoying. And the call operator were not available and didn’t send the money to the rider
