They charged me double the price I agreed, usual traffic and route. I only use them when the others are unavailable now but when I do a take proof of the cost so they don’t rip me off again.
Request a Ride and Drivers Bolt (away from you)
Just tried Bolt in Portugal and completely unreliable. At the airport had 15 drivers be found and not accept. In Sintra same thing and when agreed to pay the “convince a driver to show up” up charge they told me they would find a driver in 2 minutes. 5 minutes later there was nothing.
As a result I Bolted to Uber and got a ride immediately. App is fine but the service is AWFUL.
I’ve instructed my travel department to remove Bolt as an approved providrt from all company travel as a result. Informed my trade group as well and a few have already followed suit.

Clean car help
The car was spotless and driver helpful with suitcases.
No drivers?
I’ve tried to get a ride several times and every time it has told me that there are no drivers available. As a teenager that often has to get a taxi, it should be easier than this. The app may be cheaper than others but it shows in their lack of service.
Love it!
Very affordable and readily available. I definitely prefer Bolt to other ride share apps while in Europe!
