Great, but…
I love this app. Myself and my family have been using Bolt for a while now! It gives cheap rides, ETA on your phone, upfront pricing. However, drivers do cancel on you very regularly, leaving you waiting for 20-30 minutes until one actually comes to you
Bad bolt
The app functions fine, the drivers from bolt have often been rude and argumentative, and their customer service team are useless. I regret downloading bolt - should have stuck with uber
Driver sucks
They will cancel your trip after making you waiting for 15 mins.
False advertising and terrible customer service
I used the “ride & save” and was promised a ride in 10-20 mins when in fact it took over 45 mins. I attempted to contact customer service for help, but they were nonexistent and the chat bot is absolutely useless. Terrible experience
Driver avoided job
I’m a user of other ride apps and wanted to try out the competition. Unfortunately the driver after accepting the 35min ride (they were 4 min away) then didn’t move for 6 mins then moved in circles and then away from the pickup point also parking several times ( not at lights or junctions but in parks) after approx 16 mins I cancelled the ride. Frustrating that they seemed to want me to cancel to get a different (maybe shorter?) ride. I used another app for the same journey and had a good experience.
Update: developer agreed this was unacceptable driver behaviour. No indication of any action or improvement planned. Still minimum star review.
Update 2: bolt requested I contact support to report the issue. Another waste of my time. Requested my personal information be removed from their systems and app deleted.

Hit or miss
I have used Bolt for several years and continue to do so because it is better than the alternatives. That said I have increasingly had bad experiences with drivers who accept a ride and the drop it after a few minutes. For example, this morning it took 30 minutes and four attempts to actually get a real ride, and this seems to be happening more and more often.

Bad drivers
They always cancel then I’ll just have to get an uber
Awful
Had many good rides with bolt but the last two rides have been awful. A ride cost me £25 for a return trip and they drove off once and the first location TWICE, no refund or action has taken place on the first situation and a £2 refund for a £25 ride has been issued on the second. I’ve contacted multiple times and no call back or action has been taken

Bolt Trip
I got a Bolt to help a disabled person who wasn’t able to walk to the station to get home and bolt overcharged me for the trip and would only refund part of the overcharge.
Never order a ride form them!
Bolt is like the cheaper version of uber in the EU and UK. Tell me why they have rescheduled my ride 2 DIFFERENT times in 1 order and when he did come, he literally didn’t even bother coming back, we confirmed wihh to him the name, he saw there was 5 of us, we booked XL so its suitable for all of us. He literally came, said be was gonna turn around and come back, and didn’t, and he didn’t even cancel the ride, and if we tried, they were gonna charge us a cancellation fee. THEN we booked it again bc it was cheaper than uber, the driver was originally 14 minutes then 18 minutes, i asked an dhe said it was due to traffic, when he reached 8 minutes away, IT LITERALLY CANCELLED AND WAS ROUTING FOR A NEW DRIVER. ANOTHER ONE, 5 minutes before i booked the new one, we booked an XL for 5 ppl, the guy looked at us, automatically cancelled? are we racist now. Absolutely ridiculous, please never download this app and just stick to Uber or the busses/trains.
