Horrible app
I tried it but it just can’t edit a 2 minute video into a 40 or 60 second reel the worse part is the quality. Looks 720P.
Doesn’t upload videos
I tried many times to upload a video and it doesn’t work. I don’t know if it’s because i don’t have the subscription but if that’s the case this is a waste of an app
Great when it works
When this app works it is a great tool. I like the functions and the AI editing etc. HOWEVER when it fails it is a NIGHTMARE. I have lost so much work. So much time. Wasted hours. The app regularly fails to upload my recordings. This NEEDS IMPROVEMENT. There should be a total back up. I have lost hours worth of podcasts with other people and you never get the same feel on a second run. And that’s if you can get them to redo!!! From this aspect I am never fully confident in the app working. I have had to use teams multiple times when people cannot get into the studio also and then the quality is never the same. For a premium paid subscription this is not on. It damages the reputation of professionalism also for the host. Riverside you need to do better. It has so much potential

I’ve been trying to upgrade my account and I’m being directed to the in app support. There’s never actually been any “teammates” there to help and this is keeps going unresolved. Incredibly frustrating
New mobile editor sucks
Please restore the old version. New iOS app glitches and sucks. The ability to edit directly on the transcript was priceless. This new version sucks / they want to run everything through AI co-creator.
Upgrades made it worse
Can’t edit in mobile. Clips and edits from longer videos just save as the old video. All these upgrades and somehow it’s worse
Changed and removed transcript editing
The new update sucks ! I used to be able to press an icon and go into transcript type editing very easily. Now w4 get to chat with a co creator according to Jared of riverside support. I will be moving away from riverside
It claims you can use it free and it’s a nightmare to use free. Constant up sale every step.
Spotify stopped offering the ability to edit a show and now recommends Riverside, stating that it offers a free plan. Unfortunately, Riverside’s free plan is nearly impossible to use because the platform constantly promotes a short-term trial and repeatedly pushes paid upgrades.
I teach podcasting, and beginners need a genuinely free option while they learn. Riverside should allow users a reasonable number of free recording and editing minutes so they can have a positive experience with the platform. Instead, the constant upselling makes the “free” plan feel misleading and frustrating. Riverside should be ashamed of this approach.

Great until there’s an update
This app is great most of the time. Love the magic AI tool that gives the podcast audio sound
But every time an update comes out it starts glitching, & won’t you upload anything . Since yesterday’s update it’s no longer useable for me as can’t upload anything at all it just stays stuck on 0%. Please fix this !
Update - What the hell has happened to this app now? All editing tools have disappeared , completely impossible to edit uploads without going through the very protracted co creator AI chat, can’t even apply my captions properly & impossible to download any exports ??? …. Won’t be continuing my subscription with this version

Poor support and untransparent billing.
Did not receive any billing receipts and so only realized after the fact that they’ve been billing me for months. Unwilling to make any exceptions except steal my money for a service that wasn’t used. Definitely will not recommend to clients.

Horrible
Downloaded this app to record a podcast for a school project. Recorded it and uploaded. The podcast has a transcript that was transcribed by the riverside app, but somehow there’s no audio. I couldn’t have been muted if the app created the transcript. Makes no sense. Tried to get help and they couldn’t do anything.

There is no way to edit just an audio podcast.
No way to fully edit just an audio podcast you have to have several things just to even use this app
Best app for content creation ever couldn’t recommend more
I use it when I need to make any type of content and use a trash mic and bad background as I know they will fix it all for me in the AI editing phase

Wonderful
almost unusable
I use the app to upload pre-recorded reels and simply add subtitles. The entire process is filled with glitches for me. After I select the font I want, the video won’t play. If I go out of the project and come back in on the edited version, it shows the video with subtitles but not with the font I selected. Then if I try to export, the subtitles will be in the font I wanted but they only play the first few lines and the subtitles freeze while the rest of the video continues to play.

Not letting me trim videos without sound or video coming off. Then it gives me error if I try to export edited video

Leider läuft die Software, in der Bezahl-Version, oft sehr unzuverlässig. Ein Beispiel: die Tonspur wird nicht durchgehend verbessert. Der Sound ist dann oft einfach dumpf und man kann ihn nicht anpassen.
