Too much AI

I tried this very briefly. I do not like how much AI is used in this app. It forces you to pick an AI photo of yourself that looks nothing like you. I am not a fan of AI whatsoever. I don’t like how it auto generates everything for you. It’s a neat feature, but it doesn’t come out correctly.

Best dating app I’ve seen so far

I was very impressed with how detailed it was. It has a real AI that ask questions about you. Learns who you are, and pairs matches together for the community to have their input on if that couple should be together or not and then if so, then you can match with that person. It’s really cool.

Fun for matchmakers

Awesome concept for a dating app. I’m not single but I like the matchmaking concept. Sometimes you truly can see some folks together and others not together. I hope our matchmaking efforts aren’t in vain and that we actually create some long lasting couples.

Can’t upload photos

The app won’t let me upload any photos. And anytime I do, it links to the photo guidelines. I’m not trying to upload malicious photos, and I would argue all the ones I’ve tried to upload fall under what they’re looking for. The amount of times I had to retry the profile photos is insane. I finally got through that and got stuck at the uploading screenshots to “catch your vibe” and I could not get a single photo to upload, so I had to skip that part. Now it’s saying I don’t have a good enough “head shot” so I uploaded my headshot from work and it keeps giving me an error, saying my eyes are not open. I’m sorry I have squintier eyes than the perfect ai produced bs photos you have on the marketing. That’s kind of ridiculous. I get the idea of weeding out bad or inappropriate photos, and I appreciate the effort. But if it’s not going to accept real professional photos of me, then it doesn’t work.

Maturity

One thing that stood out here was that one of my matches actually texted me that she’s exploring things with someone and would be going off the app instead of ghosting like everyone else. Very wholesome and mature.

Something different finally

Dating apps have felt stale for years, but Rivet actually surprised me. The social matching concept is genuinely fun. it feels more like a game than the usual swiping experience. Love that other users are involved in the matching process, it makes the whole thing feel more human. I can tell it’s in its early days but I’m into it

Loved the matching feature ❤️

Fun app to set people up, I have set up my friends so many times and it worked out well, so doing it here feels natural to me. Liking it so far, and a friend of mine met someone off this app who’s kind and warm, so 5 stars from me for this.

Very fresh

Interesting concept of matching others, and they even gave me 100 karma for a contrarian win. I think you can encash the karma as well after a point. I spoke to some really interesting people who were my vibe and I’m now in a relationship with someone I met here. Both of us still match other couples for fun.

The convo really captured my story. Best dating profile imo.

This dating app is quite unique. You speak to AI and the it learns about who your person can be and who you are. It made me a stellar dating profile, it wrote stuff about me in a way that honestly I couldn't have. Got a couple decent matches, so far so good.

i can’t stop matchmaking. i love that i get to help other people with their dating lives. it’s so much more fun than just scrolling through my phone… i love setting my friends up in real life and now i can do it on this app

Like crowdsourced dating!

Really like the direction here. Very different than other apps and feels more wholesome and less toxic, focusing very much so on match among for others and having others do it for you. Feels… nice :)

Great concept but poor execution

The biggest problem for me is I get tons of community matches but they *never* translate into actual matches. Running something like 0/50. I like the “matchmaking” concept, but it has several problems. It doesn’t actually address the illusion-of-choice issue that plagues dating apps. It also often asks me to rate pairings with insane age gaps, sometimes 18 year old guys with 30+ year old women. It’s a waste of everyone’s time.

New take is fun. Voting is feels like power back to users. Prefer not getting ranked by some algo which is not public.
