Adding 2nd device is confusing
I originally trashed this app because adding 2nd device didn’t’t work. After playing with it I was able to get if working on my 2nd device. Only 4 stars for the confusion.
The app is fun and leads you to all the quirky spots you shouldn’t find on you own. For those not willing to pay for all access - stop whining it’s $7.99. Come on, really??

Usually awesome. Today it didn’t work
I got this app in 2014. I unlocked all regions for an additional $5.99.
It’s been working perfectly until today.
Now, all of a sudden, the only unlocked region is Canada. No matter what I do I can’t unlock all regions. I tried to restore, and it says I restored, but it’s still only shows the Canadian region.
And I’m on vacation and wanted to use it like I always do on vacation.
Usually love the app, now I’m just an extremely unhappy customer.

I reached out to customer service and they got back to me within one business day. I am back up and running and very happy.

A perfect app
Has greatly improved every road trip I’ve taken for years.

I wish that there were more than one or two destinations per town. I’d love to help support by adding locations, with information and pictures if I can in some way.

We use this site all the time while traveling, and the app adds so many tools. Well worth purchasing! Of course, we are old retired folks who have time to stop at interesting things!

I am not exaggerating when I say that we use this app constantly. It’s the first thing I open when researching a trip to a new area and I check it often to see if we have anything new around us. When we have a day or a weekend and want a little adventure we start here. We have seen so many things that we never would have known about.

Huge fan, great app
I consult this app for every road trip I take, even if it’s 45 minutes from home, and I always find the coolest stuff! Seriously, everyone tells me how fun it is to road trip with me, and I explain it is all thanks to Roadside America. And omg the laugh out loud descriptions of these American treasures. Roadside America has given me some of the most magical experiences of my life. I am so grateful. The “on route” feature is a godsend also.

The on-route stopped working and no one will answer my emails to get it working again.
Literally Can’t Create an Account
Tried to create an account. Says a “fatal error” occurs when attempting to send an email (I’m using GMAIL. Come on).
Tried to contact via the website form and got a very similar error. Something is screwed up on your end and I’d guess there’s not enough money to keep all this stuff updated as technology changes

Route no linger works.
The route screen no longer works. Now I just get a blank screen after entering the destination.
Love the premise, but has been neglected
This is a great app, but wow, has it been forgotten by the devs. It’s slow, ungainly, the maps I’ve purchased don’t sync between my iPhone and iPad, and location services are so incredibly slow.

Not too long ago you used to be able to open up addresses with Google Maps or Apple Maps. Or even just copy the address.
That capability has been removed. You can see attractions, but you no longer have the ability to get there.

Far too expensive
Ludacris that it costs ten dollars to unlock all the “regions”. The app was far easier to navigate than the website. It’s a shame I can’t plan a trip or actually do anything on the app unless I’m in the states closest to my home.
Keep losing my purchase 🤦🏻♀️
I bought the whole country but every time I buy another phone, it makes me buy the app, again 🤦🏻♀️😩 they even emailed me and said they do. It recharge you… but this is absolutely NOT true 🤦🏻♀️

Issues
I love the Roadside America book and was looking forward to using this app for a road trip across the country. Two major issues - not being able to add an extra region of the country. I was able to add the southeast initially but can’t add any other region. In the process of doing so, the app consistently tells me that my email address is invalid but this is the only email address I’ve had. Tried several times with the same result. So I can only use this for the first region selected. I understand that I will have to pay extra for added regions but I can’t even try to add them because I’m told that my email address is invalid.
