Amazing app for cyclists

Such a great all for cyclists. I have found so many great restaurants, camps, home stays, and more for cyclists. Makes life as a bicycle tourist easier! The interface is super easy to use!

Well designed and growing fast

Very well-designed and catering specifically to the needs of bikepackers and tourers. Love the map-centric design, easy to use, and growing fast. POIs are sparse currently, but cycling forums I’m in are jumping on this app and I expect user-generated resources will grow quickly.

Looking forward to more features that help bike travelers connect with each other easier!

Finally, an app made for bikepackers

I’ve been using Rolling Around for a while now and it’s honestly one of those apps I wish existed sooner.
The map is super useful because places are added and verified by other cyclists, so it feels much more trustworthy than random pins copied from somewhere else.
I also really like the touring companion feature to other people to cycle with, and the airline bike policies. You can tell the app was built by someone who actually bikepacks and understands what you need.

Thank you so much! I am very happy that you can feel that Rolling Around was built from real bikepacking experience. It all started while I was cycling along the Baja Divide in 2023. Yes, having all the waypoints added an verified by bikepackers, rather than copying them form somewhere else, was a big bet. Imagine, when I published the app 2 years ago the map was empty, so it was useless. Luckily, some early users saw its potential and started adding information and now we are seeing a snowball effect. The map has over 20,000 waypoints! All added and verified by people who are touring. Lastly, I’m also happy you find the touring companion feature useful, as bikepacking can be lonely at times so hopefully this feature will help with that. Thanks again for the beautiful review!

Best Bikepacking App

Absolutely love this app! Rolling Around is incredibly intuitive and makes planning and tracking rides so much easier and more enjoyable. The interface is clean, the features are spot on, and everything just works the way you want it to.

Whether you’re casually exploring or planning bigger adventures, this app really adds value. You can tell a lot of thought went into the details. Highly recommended for anyone who loves being on the move! 🚴‍♂️

Perfect companion

I used the app a lot during my bike trip through Japan last year. The info people added along the way was really helpful. Found some really nice campspots and accommodation where I could take my bike inside.

The airline list was super handy, and finding a bike box in Tokyo at the end of the trip was way easier because of it.

I also tried to find a travel companion through the app. Didn’t work out this time, but I guess that’ll get easier as more people start using it.

Invaluable information, especially on good wild camping spots for beginners in finding them like we were. I also love sharing our findings and being able to so easily pass on wisdom to other cyclists. Can’t recommend enough!

THE APP for cycle tourers

Cycle touring can be a mentally as well as physically draining endeavour, and support and advice from fellow tourers is so helpful, even a life saver in remote places. In rollingaround we can share and find advice from cyclists not just routes, but camping spots, water sources, low cost accommodation, cycle friendly accommodation. Basically it’s got our back! It’s unique, for cycle tourers by cycle tourers.

Great for bike touring

We just discovered this app recently on our last trip through Asia and all the info there was a good help in order to plan and organise our trip.

Super Bikepacking App!

Nutze die App regelmäßig beim Bikepacking. Besonders hilfreich finde ich die Infos zum Fliegen mit dem Rad – Maße, Airlines, Regeln. Genau das hab ich bisher immer vermisst.

Great App for every bike traveller

What a Great app. Finally everything in one Place. You can find campsites, bikeshops and everything that is important when travelling by bike. The Airlines and the Sports equipment policies are a game changer. Thanks for building this!!!
