Awful

The app was clunky and bad to begin with, but the update somehow made it WORSE. It actually lost functionality and is so frustrating to use I’m thinking of just returning my panel since I’m in the return window. To spend this much on a high end panel and get this basement level of interface to actually use it is ridiculous. 0/10.

Is it dead?

I have been using the app to control my Rouge Red Light for a year now. It was the best way since the screen on the very large standing device is too small: can’t read it forget about trying to manipulate the touchscreen’s buttons or the part I really need, the timer wheel. I’ve got really tiny hands, too.

Started up the device, started up my app and I get a white screen with a frowning face that says, “We’re Sorry” and three button choices, “Back,” “Close,” and “Restart,” neither of which do anything.

Tried multiple times.

Checked for an app update.

Restarted my phone.

Nothing.

Website says I can chat (likely a bot) tomorrow. No way to send the screenshot nor ask a question now.

Not good. Need to use it right now for healing. This was an expensive device. The app controls it. BUT NOT RIGHT NOW. IT’S DEAD.

Great Panel!

We love the G4 Pro with all its wavelengths! This software however is a complete dud. They could so very easily improve it so that you could make your own presets or edit the names/brightness/wavelengths of the existing ones. Until they do that, I’d recommend carefully looking at competing panels as this is a major downside to Rouge.

Horrible app

Hire some developers to rebuild this app, it’s like something out of 2010

Needs work

I was excited to use this as programming on the device is difficult. However, after several frustrating, tries at creating and naming a preset. I finally emailed customer support and discovered that that’s not possible, even though there are preset buttons you can’t change their name.
Also discovered that when I changed one of the open preset slots it overwrote all of the normal existing factory programmed presets.
I may have to go back and do a factory reset to get them back.
The device itself works great. The interface needs help. App is fine to turn it on and off, but I would be cautious about saving presets as it might wipe out all of the factory ones.
