Easy & fun to use
Rough Animator is the only app I’ve been able to figure out for making short videos and GIFs. I like Procreate for drawing my silly dino “art” but can only manage their animation app in my dreams (sorry),
It’s great
I’ve only had 1 problem and that’s when I edit the layer settings the app starts to freak out, which I realize might be a storage issue on my end but it was worth noting just in case. Other than that all the tools are very helpful and some learning of the format is required (as usual with animation apps). Great use of my money.

BEST FOR BEGINNERS AND ADVANCE!
this is the best app I ever seen! No layer limit make some animators won’t suffer very much! And it won’t lag our device as much as we added more frames in 5k frame rate!

Used to run great!
As the title says, used to run great! I have an iPad Pro 2nd gen. I know it has the ram and the power to run this app, I’ve done complicated animations with this before and only then did I have to run it at 50% resolution. Now I’m doing a mere 12 second animation and it can’t even play it back at 100% quality with only 3 layers, one music and the other one a rough draft, and background . Hope it gets fixed!

Great tool
I’m not an animator by training but wanted some animated scenes for a video or two I was making and with RoughAnimator was able to get some really great bits with practice.

Empowering and deceptively simple
This program totally changed my storytelling after 30 years of professional filmmaking. If you can make a flip book as a kid scribbling in the back of class at grade school, you can use rough animator. Just how far you take the storytelling, and how complex the animation is up to you, but the app can take you everywhere.

It was super good but some things just didn’t click
I love RoughAnimator
I got this app when I got my iPad Pro gen 1 so many years ago. I understood animation through this app, and I’ve made so much money out of animating full on projects on the App. Like full music videos for real bands and educational material for companies. I really love this app.
It’s okay.
I got this app about 2 months ago, and recently it has been… weird.
Whenever I try to animate it won’t let me.. Animate! It only lets me animate if I put down a white base then I move on to a new frame, I put down a white base and I can’t see the onion skin.
And I think it should work on my iOS iPad, it’s the iPad 11.
If I’m doing anything wrong please tell me I am a new animator.

LOVE IT!
I love it, and use it a lot. But I would really like blur and alpha lock. Those tools would be super helpful

The app is good everything is fine I enjoy it but the only thing that I don’t enjoy and I find hard to do is like going to your files to put the voice and like I think it just should be an automatic feature where you can just record and done and that would be very enjoyabl!
Not what i expected.
using this app is like walking blind into the software. There is no tutorial or anything, and even though ive had it for a long time, i still dont know how to use all the tools. It's really overwhelming, and this app doesn't even have options for changing brush sensitivity and stability, and no way to make a perfect circle from what ive seen. I'm rather disapointed that it's not more user friendly. I wish i could refund this, it was not worth the cost for me. not even a way to do tweening, and adding audio is a nightmare.
