Royal Cars make it so easy to book a taxi and you know they are always going to turn up and not cancel your request. The drivers are always well presented and lovely and friendly making the trip seem quicker. The cars are always immaculate. We always feel we arrive stress free, to our occasion so we can just enjoy the event with no worries.

Unnecessary notifications
Daily notifications telling me surge pricing applies and thanking me for my understanding are not appreciated.
Must do better
The new app is poor, it says you can book 7 days ahead but it would not allow me to book even 6 days ahead. The AI voice is poor and it was difficult to get to a real person.
On the 12th at Heathrow it told me the driver was 8 minutes away, then 11 minutes , and finally 81 miles!!!

Keeps spamming with notifications

Took me all the way around Oxford just to get to Wheatley
This taxi driver purposely took me the long way round, I have lived in Wheatley since 2009 so I know absolutely every single route that one would take if there were traffic. He attempted to use the traffic as an excuse as to why he had taken me through Marston up near Summertown and round back again through. Marston and back up towards headington and Wheatley. I turned my camera on and I let him know that I was aware of what he was doing and he kept on making comments saying that I was welcome to make a complaint and that no one would listen to me. I’m assuming this is because I’m a woman. I don’t particularly appreciate being Scammed especially by a racist sexist man in a taxi.

Not working
Don’t bother downloading. The application doesn’t work. At least not with my iPhone 10. Reached out to their team but the problem still exists.

Incredibly rude operators who started arguing with me when the taxi was late for an important connection even with booking in advance. If I had literally any other choice in oxford I would not use
App didn’t work
In setting up the App, it’s supposed to send you a code either by phone or email. Tried both & both failed to send anything. So I installed the (Oxford) 001 Taxi app instead, which worked fine.

My phone location was glitching but was still very understanding and met us at a new location. 10/10 driver

Royal Cars not trustworthy
Company canceled my taxi that was booked on the Royal Cars App. When called they did not care. I was with my wife and daughters and left high and dry. Royal Cars are not trustworthy.
Not good for morning bookings
I booked a taxi last night for 8.35am this morning. At 8.33 I had not received any notification that it was on its way. I called them and the automated service could not give me an estimate of when it would arrive, just said they were trying to find a driver. I then spoke to someone who said they were trying to find me a taxi driver in the next 10 mins, but that it would take longer as they would then need to drive to my house.
I gave up as I had a train to catch, and used Freenow and had a taxi within 4 minutes.
At that time in the morning Royal Cars has very few taxis available, if any, as they are doing school runs. Their app needs to reflect this and make clear that nothing is available so that users can make arrangements.
