App is a challenge
Your app is very hard to use. It takes a long time to update and get thru the ordering process. It happens many times I try using it.
Runza
Love Runza. The app works great
Used to be great. Then management ruined it.
I used to think this was one of the best made restaurant loyalty apps out there, and as a loyal Nebraskan I appreciated that a Nebraska company was doing so well.
Then some sort of update happened. Details are murky, but it appears based on my conversations with employees and Runza management that it is their point-of-sale system. Anyway, the app and rewards systems are USELESS now.
There used to be functionality to both apply rewards and have your card be automatically applied when you scanned your app. I loved this ease of access. Both of these no longer work. Furthermore, Runza refuses to remove the options from the app, resulting in delays in the line as confused patrons try to use the app as designed and instructed and fail. First Management told me via email that this was isolated to a few locations, but this is obviously a lie because I have been to several with the same problem. Then they tried to blame it on their employees not knowing what they are doing, but again, I encounter this everywhere and they clearly have been dealing with this from many people.
I’ve been told to tell them what rewards I want and to pay with my card instead of using the app and only use it to scan. This tends to hold up the line, promotes more confusion (especially with drive thru), and if you had the audacity to actually try to use the app the way it was intended everything gets borked.
In addition, they have changed the rewards so that they cannot be applied when ordering meals any more. There went a lot of my incentive.
It is not worth the hassle. Runza has effectively killed their rewards program and are actively penalizing loyal customers with frustration.

Disappointed.
My kids love Runza. We live in KS. Every time we come to see my family that lives in Omaha they want to stop at Runza. We stopped as usual. Unfortunately, this last trip someone took our order on mistake and we waited 20 minutes till someone would check on our order. I luckily had the receipt and showed the manager. He was less than pleasant and rushed our order. The food was not near as good as last time and my son said this is the last time we goto this Runza. I hope the next time we come back we will have a better experience!
