Recurring Payments

We love Rural 1st, they have all been so friendly and helpful. The app is where I have an issue. It will not allow me to click on recurring payments or change the payment amount. I always try to pay a little extra on my loans. I have to set a reminder for every payment right before it’s due. So frustrating.

Convenient

Easy way to pay the payments!

Transfer Terminology

The term "transfer" being used to mean "payment" is confusing to the average person who is not an accountant. A transfer to most people is a movement from one cash or asset account to another cash or asset account - a credit to a positive account, not a credit toward a debt. The word "payment" is much more clear when referring to the act of making a payment.

Suggested improvements

- Add a drop menu for different payment options, like for “principle only” payments (for mortgage loans or loans in general). Farm credit application had this before recent switch to Rural first system.
- Change transaction description line to allow [space] between words and more than just letters and numbers; Example allow a dash, comma, brackets, ect.

Not Super Intuitive

I have called the Rural 1st reps twice and gained no help whatsoever. The last rep said I was supposed to be seeing something I didn’t see and suggested I go to a computer as I was on my IPhone. Finally downloaded this app and was able to sort it out. It’s not clear or highlighted what you have to do next, but by “feeling” my way through, I’ve been able to work it out.
