Saffra is an AI chef whose recipes are finished before you ask. Most recipes fail in the same place: they assume. "Season to taste." "Cook until done." A pan you don't own. Saffra's library is built the other way round — against a standard every recipe clears before it ships. THE STANDARD, IN FOUR RULES 1. Every ingredient carries a measured amount and a note on how to prep it. Never "some parsley." 2. Measured across the 2,300+ recipes in the library today: 99.9% of ingredients carry an amount, 97.2% say how to prep it, every recipe lists its equipment, and 99.3% name a sensory cue for the moment it's ready. Every recipe declares its allergens. Each recipe is written three times by three AI chef personas — Classic, Modern, Foodie — then merged into one and measured against that standard. Nothing is improvised the moment you ask. KNOW BEFORE YOU COOK Rule 4 buys you what recipe apps never tell you: which minutes are actually yours. Hands-on and total time sit inline — 15 min hands-on, 25 min total — so a three-hour braise reads as the forty-five minutes of work it is, and a "quick" dinner can't hide half an hour at the stove. Where a dish has no honest split, Saffra shows the total and says so. THEN IT'S REWRITTEN FOR YOU Tell Saffra once about your equipment, diet, allergies and skill level. Open any recipe and she rewrites it for your kitchen: allergies are non-negotiable, substitutions come from your pantry first, steps are rebuilt around the equipment you own. Ask her anything as you cook — substitutions, technique, what to do with what's in the fridge. She remembers the conversation. COOK HANDS-FREE Start a recipe and Saffra reads each step aloud. Say "next," "repeat," or ask a question with flour on your hands. Speech is transcribed by Apple's speech recognition service, and when the kitchen is loud the clip may also go to our server for a second pass. Timers run as Live Activities on your Lock Screen — free for everyone. YOUR PANTRY, HANDLED Add ingredients by hand or scan a barcode. Saffra tracks what you have, what's expiring, and what's safe for you. Snap your receipt with Pro: it's read on your iPhone and only the extracted text is sent. Fridge and counter photos are uploaded for ingredient recognition — capped on free; Pro lifts the cap.
