Look elsewhere
Very disappointed. Why? You can’t save wav files. What’s the point of recording samples if you can’t save them? That forces me into using only this app if I want to use the wav file I’ve recorded. Or go through the arduous process of bouncing the sample out with AUM. Honestly it should be a simple button press.

Great tool
Bram Bos delivered as usual. Great app as it is (a superb instrument) but I would like to see one feature that would make it absolutely amazing. Option to export those seamless loops, may it be without the effects if that’s too difficult. I know I can record and cut after, but you know- making life easier… also some way to only hold single keys while being able to freely play the rest. Not to mention time stretch to play notes at different pitch but same timing. Thanks a lot.

Needs Sample Stretch
It accomplishes different notes by stretching the samples making them all messed up and kind of useless for me. If my sample has texture or rhythm it makes a big difference where I play it
Good, but a few things could make it better
Great for grabbing audio and creating a playable instrument, but no time-stretching option makes it very limited.
The addition of a tempo-aligned grid, or time-stretching would allow us to play rhythmic samples in time at any pitch - but at present any rhythm content goes completely out of sync.
Also I have a lot of issues with stuck MIDI notes when sequencing from another app. The ‘panic’ button is in constant use!
No buyer’s remorse as it’s great for basic sample playing and soundscapes, but sync and time-stretching options would make it much more usable.

Woot!!!
So happy to see this and another of Bram's apps in the Mac store for intel! Love it! I hope we see some more, Bram is my fav dev for sure - would love to access some of those ios gems over here on the Mac
Like having an SK-1 in your pocket.
The simplicity and ease of using this tool make it so so sooo valuable. Seamless integration and smooth flow. Mad respect to Bram Bos for this perfectly engineered product.

Plenty of potential
I love that Salome works on my iPad Pro and my Mac in Logic Pro as an AU!
Very good
Thé sound is perfect and +++ tanks

Please add recording ability from the internal microphone
Instant reaction - cor blimey guvnor this is superb
Literally only played it for a few minutes, so not an expert take - but immediately I’m able to play in sounds and then manipulate them in a very open playable way - just using the screen, not an external mpc controller.
My brain often trips up on lots of these kinds of apps, but this is quite different and very musical. Top.

Another winner
Love it so far! would have also liked if you could sample in stand alone. Did I miss something? Hats off for always dropping some heat!
Interesting but flawed
I like the idea of the app but there are a number of things ‘wrong’ with it.
1. Frequent stuck MIDI notes when using external keyboard
2. The sampling feature produces sounds two octaves higher than the original. With only one octave of tuning adjustment this can’t be corrected.
3. There isn’t any way to specify the root note of the imported WAV file, so it plays in wrong octave.
4. The sample feature doesn’t produce a particularly accurate version of the sound source, although it does produce ‘interesting’ sounds because of this.
5. Most unfathomably, the app does not respond to MIDI sustain input. Can’t understand why a keyboard enabled app would not have this.

A very useful tool
There are any number of looping apps, some vastly complex others very simple. All have their niche, and qualities. Salome, sits somewhere in the middle. Brambos has cracked the nut of being easy to use, but also quite versatile. Salome is very, very handy for easily recording new instruments, which can then be loaded in another instance of the app as instruments. Played either live or via another app, such as the excellent Piano Motifs.

I love me some BramBos!
Bram, love the sampler Salome. One issue I noticed is that when you latch a note, then shift octaves, you cannot latch the same note an octave lower or higher. This seems like a bug or an oversight. Otherwise, very cool for a “utility ”.
Thanks Bram 🥺🙏🏼
I’ve been wanting this for ages ! Even built my own inside of Drambo but honestly I’m sure this will be 100 x more efficient on my CPU so it was an instant buy for me (knowing the quality of your craft there is no doubt it’ll be amazing).
Thanks bud,
Hopefully you can consider a Mozaic 2 sometime - with some much needed love such as custom layouts (or more layout options and colors especially) - a buildable interface paired up with the amazing mozaic scripting language would make for an amazing Swiss knife tool - I use mozaic everywhere.
Thanks for all the wonderful apps friend.
