What's New in Salwa

1.1

August 26, 2026

The pond is real water now. Not a loop of an animation, an actual simulation. It moves when you touch it, settles when you leave it alone, and carries the state your practice is in. It's in Calm Space, behind the empty screens, and at sign-in. A WIDGET salwa has a home screen widget. It sits under the same sky the app does, so the light moves through your day and clouds drift across the afternoon. It tells you where your pond stands. Tap it to sit, or to start writing. There is a lock screen version too. DAYLIGHT The sky the app draws used to go flat and grey between morning and evening. It carries real colour now, all the way from first light through to dusk. ACTIVITY, REBUILT Your practice now lays out as a life in weeks - one dot per week, all of it on one screen. Open a week to see what you held, what you released, and which feelings kept coming up. Open a year to see the shape of it. MOMENTS What used to be called Anchors are now Moments. Same thing, clearer name. A NEW FIRST RUN Onboarding is a real release now, not an explanation of one. You do the practice, then decide. ALSO - The release screen finishes instead of cutting off - The background during a release is built from your own feelings - Clearer contrast throughout, in both light and dark - One daily reminder instead of two
