Great service. Rather expensive

I’m using it with the hope of getting some letters to my son faster than snail mail. It is great in that respect. It is quite pricey so I will convert to snail mail at some point.

IDK Still Assessing

My child has been in Boot Camp for several weeks. I spoke to him this past Sunday and he has yet to receive any letter letters. Yeah I keep receiving emails to purchase more letters from my child to read. Keeping in mind, I started my account the day after he was sworn in so I guess I’ll wait.

Gratitude

Thank you for this service I hope to keep writing to my son and can’t wait to hear from him soon.

Jury is still out…

I like the concept of this app, and the convenience is a big plus. The weekly updates about recruits/their training and the community message boards are genuinely helpful. Being able to ask questions and connect with other military families going through the same experience is nice.

That said, the pricing is hard to justify. The app advertises that letters include a pre-stamped envelope and paper so recruits can write back, but that’s actually a separate $2 add-on that isn’t clearly disclosed upfront. After already paying about $4 for a single letter, an additional $2 per letter for return stationery feels excessive and legit predatory, considering this is marketed to family members who are basically cut off from loved ones for nearly two months.

My other concern is delivery reliability. I sent a letter well before the cutoff time on a Monday, yet it still took several days to reach my recruit—assuming it arrived at all. I won’t be able to confirm for another two weeks, and I’ve seen multiple reviews from users whose letters were marked as delivered but never received by their recruits.

Overall, the app has some useful features and potential, but the high costs and concerns about transparency and delivery make me uneasy. I’ll use the remaining letters from the package I purchased, but I won’t buy more until I can verify that my recruit actually received them.

Sandboxx is Fire!!

This is my first encounter with Sandboxx, since my grandson has been in Bootcamp for the Navy. I can confirm that it is so very heartwarming to have such a wonderful space to keep in touch with our loved ones in the Military. It is so easy to get it done in one place, all at one time, with no hassle. This is my third letter to my grandson and the experience has been totally carefree and enjoyable.
I would encourage everyone who has someone in the Military that they write letters to, to use Sandboxx. It is absolutely an essential resource!
