Infuriating
Sometimes it stops letting you log in with no error message. You have to delete the app and its cache and reinstall to get it working. What an amateurish effort. They need to hire better programmers.
Camera
Trying to scan your scratch off tickets is a joke. Camera won’t focus unless you’re so far away that it can’t even read the barcode and there is no option for zoom or focus. Aggravating!!!
Agree
App is totally a mess. It just spins and spins and will not do anything. Sometimes you cannot even close it. I totally agree with horrible.
Inconsistent
This app will frustrate you. Every morning between 12-12:30 am the app is down for maintenance AND it STILL runs like garbage every day. You would think with all the lottery money South Carolina takes in that they could create and maintain a better app. I don’t know who does the coding but fire them all, start over, and do better.

This app is pathetic. Nothing ever works. The scanner works maybe once every 30 days. How can we be sure the scanner is actually providing us with the correct results due to its abysmal performance? Have some of us won hundreds or thousands of dollars and don’t even know it because the scanner never works right? Many times it will not let you login. I keep thinking that it will get an upgrade but it never does. The North Carolina state lottery app is 1000 times better than what South Carolina has to offer. The only thing the South Carolina lottery app has over North Carolina is that you can use your Face ID to login but that’s only when it works. The players club is a joke as the number of coins that you need to redeem to enter second chance drawings or sweepstakes is way too high. Plus, the options that you get are poor, such as entering a drawing to win a lousy $500 but need 50 coins. Why not step up the game like other state lottery’s apps such as Florida and North Carolina where you can win much more and do so much more? You can’t even purchase tickets on the South Carolina app, so lame.

The scanner to check the tickets is abysmal. Stop controlling it. It shouldn't take more than a minute to get a scan.
Hit or miss
I don’t trust it’s loading my 2nd chances, I don’t trust it’s entering my points, most times I have to enter the site 2 or 3 times just to check tickets. You would think the money SC lottery is making off the people they would have a working website.

Unreliable
Have used numerous different states lottery apps and this one is by far the least reliable. It isn’t that difficult to keep up with barcode reading as other states have figured it out.

Absolutely horrible. Full of bugs and glitches. You either cant log in, it wont scan tickets, wont accept tickets or give you your credits. Cannot believe that as much money as the lottery takes in that they cannot afford a decent app or make the company that built the app fix it.
The worst
The app rarely scans tickets. A challenge even after deleting app and reloading. Black screen also, like now as I am trying to scan a ticket.
Lack of Information
When you scan a winning ticket over $500, the app does not tell you what you have won!
Can NOT Login
Would love to be able to use the app, however I can not access the login page. I am able to click on “sign up” and it will take me to the appropriate page, however if I click on any login button/link within the app, it does nothing and will sit on whatever page I’m currently on.
The barcode scanner does the same thing, so the app is essentially useless to me, and I’m instead having to access the lottery page through Safari, which lacks the scan ticket feature. Please fix this issue. It’s been a month since the last update.

What’s going on with the app?! Suddenly it couldn’t get logged in with Face ID. I struggled to reset the password because it kept timing out for some reason. Finally got it rest but now I can’t scan tickets.
