Eats batteries
I hate that it eats through batteries and constantly locks me out because of battery issues

Great buy.
This lock has been great. It gives you a notification every time it is used. Which helps, as it is installed on or AirBNB rental. As well as being able to give our guest remote access codes to get into the house, without having to physically do it at the lock.

I couldn’t be happier with this Schlage smart lock. One of my favorite features is being able to lock and unlock my condo remotely from anywhere. Whether I’m across town or traveling, it’s incredibly reassuring to know I can grant access or secure my property with just a few taps.
Managing guest access is also extremely easy. I can quickly add, delete, or modify access codes for visitors, contractors, cleaners, or tenants without having to be there in person.
Another feature I really appreciate is the activity log. It tells me exactly who accessed the condo and when, which gives me an extra level of security and peace of mind.
The app is intuitive, the lock has been reliable, and it has made managing my property so much easier. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable, user-friendly smart lock.

It works as it should but it’s only 4 years old and very weathered, also the batteries die quickly
Don’t buy
The locks work nicely for a few months. Then the wifi module starts failing. Then the bluetooth module will start to fail. You will likely spend hours trying everything to get it to work. Schlage will offer zero value in helping. The iPhone app sucks. Basically wasted hundreds of dollars on three locks. I completely regret buying these things.

Too confusing setup
Not user friendly but certainly user hostile IMHO. Cannot get it to work with Apple Home and my ipod mini on wifi 2.4 ghz.
Displays Advertisements
Schlage thanks you for your purchase by showing you Ads. This is what they mean by “bug fixes and performance improvements”. I won’t buy another Schlage.
Spotty
I’ve had our Schlage Encode for a couple of years for our short-term rental. When entering guest codes, it takes up to 10 times of “saving” it for it to actually save the code. Same for deleting a code. It happens when I am in the rental itself and near the WiFi, so it’s not that. Then it goes offline quite often even when the WiFi is working (I know it’s working because our Ring camera is online. It’s a very frustrating system. It has done this from the time we installed it.

‘Turn Key’ system!
Easy install and programming, only took 20 mins from install to using the app.
Wifi connection is difficult
It’s so frustrating to buy something and then a simple process becomes so difficult. I just bought the lock. Install was easy but management of the lock through wifi is extremely frustrating

Always disconnected. My door is kinda facing the east.it s a bit hot in the morning like 19c. The lock heats up and not working all wks and sometime it works one day then not again
