BEWARE: Immediately $17.11 charge when you sign up for “free” trial

Free trial is a joke. The second I initiated the free trial I got a bank notification that $17.11 had been charged to my account. First of all the subscription fee itself was only touted as $11.99 so why am I getting a 43% up charge definitely not just taxes added on. I would’ve rather spent that money towards the real book I was trying to read instead if I knew I was going to be charged. Absolutely livid do not use this app.

Not at all what it used to be

I’ve been subscribed to scribd/Everand for about 10 years. They split apps a few years ago but atleast the functionality was there. Now everything is limited or requires some other plan. I canceled my subscription. Just buy the books elsewhere for cheaper

Canceling is a joke

The app and the web browser will not let you cancel your account. They will continue to charge you even though you have asked for it to be canceled.
