Manipulative design
Don’t trust the Star rating. They have implemented a manipulative design to intercept bad reviews and filter the good reviews to the app storefront. If a company’s first instinct is to gaslight its potential users, it’s probably best not to trust them in any capacity

I love this app but in the latest version of IOS it seems that there is a glitch, when using schedules the cellphone overheats and it drawn the battery really fast, please fix this issue because this is an amazing product

Been absolutely loving this
I love the Scrolly so far. I’ve been doom scrolling way less. I’ve tried other apps but they ended up killing my battery so I ultimately had to delete them. This one doesn’t kill your battery & does a great job reducing your screen time!
Not worth the money
Often fails to block the apps you set it to block, doesn’t
follow the schedules you set, freezes a lot and is glitchy as hell, hardcore mode doesn’t work. It’s good when it occasionally works but is so unreliable that you’d be better off buying a different NFC blocker that actually does what it’s supposed to.

LIFE CHANGING! With Scrolly I have been able to reduce my screen time and feel my present around my friends and family. Everyone should have one in their home.

Giving it 4 stars for now because I wish that it allowed me to separate my screentime statistics from my son’s iPad, which has its own AppleID. They said they’d work on it. So I will update.

You have to first download the app then go to a website and buy it for like 30 bucks a month I would give a 0 if I could.

I love that it is a one time purchase. The app is simple and straight forward. There is a current limit on the number of apps it can block, but that’s more of an Apple limitation (50).
I hope the app developer makes an update to block more apps. Here is something I have found about that.
Apple limits one ManagedSettings store to 50 app tokens. But Apple allows multiple named ManagedSettings stores simultaneously since iOS 16. So one tag tap triggers your app to activate multiple stores at once programmatically.

Seriously flawed
Scrolly presents itself as a premium solution for digital wellbeing, yet technically it is nothing more than a 25p NFC tag artificially locked behind a proprietary app. The £50 price tag is not a reflection of manufacturing costs or advanced technology, but a premium charged to cover the developers' high business overheads. While the team argues this price ensures longevity and support, it is fundamentally the creation of a "walled garden" designed to extract money from customers who may not realise that identical functionality is available for free using standard tags and alternative apps that use iOS’s built-in Screen Time API.
The inevitable failure of this business renders the specific device you purchased completely useless. The business model relies entirely on restricting an open standard to enforce a high margin, rather than competing on the quality of the software. Considering free alternatives exist that perform the exact same function without the vendor lock-in, paying this premium feels less like an investment in better habits and more like a penalty for technical ignorance.

A great tool
I’ve had my Scrolly a few months now, and it does genuinely help build that extra barrier if you have a constant habit of checking of the phone and keep getting distracted. I lock it before bed and leave it downstairs so i have no choice but to get up to unlock the distracting apps in the morning instead of getting sucked into scrolling. Having no way to bypass it without getting up is more helpful than you may think at first. You still need a personal drive to keep up the habit of locking it yourself, but it becomes a routine and my screen time is way down. It got to a point where I left in the morning without unlocking, and didn’t realize until hours later. That’s when I realized it was indeed helping, and keeping me living in the moment

Great tool, but why are users now forced to login?
I love the scrolly device and it helps me use my phone less pretty much everyday. The simplicity of it is part of the appeal.
The most recent update requires me to have an account that tracks my usage, supposedly for my own benefit. It feels unnecessary and invasive - and there’s no option to skip it.
Please don’t track users like this, it’s just not necessary.
