I’ve been using this service for several years now. Mostly use the desktop portal. And on rare occasion when I needed support, they have been very responsive and helpful!

I’ve tried a lot of secure email solutions over the years, including Proton Mail, and what surprised me most about SecureMyEmail is how little attention it gets compared to how good it actually is.
The biggest advantage for me is that it brings end-to-end encryption to practically any email address. I didn’t have to abandon my existing email or convince everyone I know to switch providers. That’s a huge deal and something I haven’t found many other services doing nearly as well.
The mobile apps are also genuinely excellent. In fact, I find them faster and easier to use than a lot of dedicated email apps. Based on some of the reviews, I expected something clunky or complicated, but my experience has been the complete opposite.
What I like most is that it gives me a lot of the privacy and security benefits people associate with Proton Mail, but without requiring me to move my entire email life into a new ecosystem. It feels like having Proton-style encryption for the email addresses I already use.
No app is perfect, but I honestly think this product deserves a much higher rating than it currently has. If you’re looking for a practical way to add real email privacy and encryption without changing email providers, this is one of the most underrated options out there.

Awesomeness
I was looking for a secure solution for my emails and ready to give up my Gmail account. Turns out, there is a highly secure solution available and it even lets me keep my old account. This is just awesome !!!
Installation was a breeze and UI looks very familiar.
I give 10 out 10 and highly recommend this app.

I was having trouble with my 2FA, but the customer support from SME was super fast and helpful. Honestly, I’m even bigger fan of this app now ! If email encryption is your concern - this is the way !

Ethical, secure, friendly, but gray UI

Thanks! Btw, the UI shouldn’t be “gray.” There are several color options in menu. Default should be a magenta, actually.
Not impressed.
I installed the app, went through the sign up process and set up the email I wanted to protect. The app then said that the authentication was successful and displayed the contents of my inbox. The first email I tried to send failed to send, with a message from the app telling me as such. The app then hung and I had to re-start the app, only, it wouldn’t. I rebooted my iOS device and tried again. All I get is a black screen and the app then closes. I tried this several times, with the same results. I’m off to buy a carrier pigeon.

Only installed on one iOS device
Installed on iPad alright but wouldn’t install on iPhone. Kept saying it didn’t recognize the password and user email ID even though password and email ID were absolutely identical.

still buggy
I’ve been waiting for months to write a review in hopes it could be more positive. There is no aggregate email box, and this seems like a glaring omission for the paid customers wanting to use the service with multiple email accounts. There are frequent errors trying to log in and stay logged in with Google and Microsoft accounts. I meant for this to take over as my email app, but it’s not up to the job.

Pure Rubbish
It’s worthless. Multiple passwords, doesn’t work inside gmail app. You have to use their email client on the iPhone. When recipient receives the email they’re presented with their advertising and sign up. Totally convoluted, confusing and worthless.

I like the desktop and mobile functionality - and that emails can be toggled on and off to be encrypted or not
High level encryption, one click send interface
I like that the app uses PGP key sharing and can be toggled on/off to use without switching between mail providers. I can encrypt an email or not within the same app as well as import my inbox from my provider
Has Potential
Unfortunately I can’t use this app as it refuses to recognise certain email addresses and won’t allow me to reply to them (for example, any Octopus email addresses). It also won’t save any draft emails for me.
App won’t open
I paid good money for this app. I’d like to be able to simply open the app and see the interface. I can’t even do that. Can someone please fix this?!
Need iPad App
We use our iPads as our primary email access. The app needs to support landscape. When will the iPad version be available? I updated to 3 stars because it does work but not having an iPad version is annoying.

No support
Support rude as well as being extremely unhelpful.
Hacker sabotaged my SME encrypted emails. Despite my best efforts to engage with support and provide screen capture footage as well as screenshots outlining the issue, I was insulted by someone who proclaimed to be support for SME.
Very disappointed with the service.

Nichts funktioniert
Ein Gmail ein Outlook Account ausprobiert, bei beiden nur ein Fehler nach dem anderen aber keine Verbindung zum Emailkonto.

Not Free if You Want a BAA
Their website says that there is no account size requirement to get a BAA. When I asked them to provide one, they said I would have to subscribe to a plan. Support wasn’t friendly and it took them a long time to respond during normal business hours. There are better options available.
