I truly think there should at least be the option to search for restraints / be able to scan products without needing to pay, otherwise you make the movement look like it’s exclusively a luxury service/financially motivated rather than a serious concern people should be looking into , and/or make it so we can be reporters because only 2 restaurants in my town are in this app and I’m disappointed I’m not able to put in data for any restaurants

If you have a subscription service, be extremely direct and explicit about it and stop wasting peoples time. What an annoying layout to have me download the app, go through bunch of questions, then be told to pay to even try the service out? If I could try it without the unskippable pop up that locks the entire screen telling me to pay for simple information I can find on localfats.com for free, I would give this app a good review. If there was anything offered on the app service wise just based on me downloading it, this wouldn’t be a scam. State it explicitly before the person downloads the app that you have to pay for a restaurant lookup service.

For years, I’ve been going to restaurants that have been using processed means and over amounts of sugar. I’m done with it. That’s not how we’re supposed to eat and that’s not how the food is supposed to taste. thank you guys for standing up

I have paid for access to the app but when I open it up and want to use the map it is only giving me option to pay!!! AND I ALREADY PAID BY THE YEAR!!!! something doesn’t seem right. And I can’t find anywhere on the app to contact customer support. (You might want to add that option to contact customer support on the app) So hopefully this gets monitored and I can get some support.

Doesn’t work
Will not allow me to verify an email. No email is sent and so I cannot create an account. I’ve tried on different days with different email addresses.
Waste of Money
I love the idea of this but in practice, at least for my area in East Tennessee, it’s useless. Not a lot of helpful info in the app, and what is there is generally at least a year out of date.
I forgot to cancel before my free trial ended (as one does). They didn’t send a reminder and there was no way to get in touch with the company to get a refund. I don’t WANT a year long subscription to this app. There’s no contact info anywhere. They clearly aren’t interested in whether customers are happy or not. They’re gonna keep their money and move on.

Prepare to answer 300 questions that provide zero value to see places without seed oils. I got less questions buying my first home qualifying at the bank max

I’m pretty disappointed by the paywall. It gets to a point where paywalls shouldn’t be necessary and this is one. The fact that I can’t even use basic tools like the map or scanning products made me sick to be honest. I’m disappointed. I don’t normally write reviews but for this one occasion I had to.

I go to the places that are considered seed oil free, I like burritos so I go to places that serve wraps. All of them use tortillas that have seed oils, and SOS verified it saying “no seed oils on premisis” reached out to them a lot and never changed the review. Scam app
App not working
I haven’t used this app as it’s asking me to pay for another membership and response to my email is repetitive when brought up the issue and nothing gets resolved.
Keeps charging me
I payed for the app, and nothing happened. I didn’t have any access to the premium features. When I cancelled my subscription. It kept charging me.

No oversight
Anybody can post anything. There is no governing body that checks into claims that a review is incorrect. Example- Grimaldis in Sparks NV is still listed as a good choice when avoiding seed oils. Many people have posted that the information is incorrect but no change has been made. Old New York deli is listed as 5-star, no seed oils present. I just called and they have no idea what is in their mayo, which is the base for their dressings and sauces. It’s a great staring point but shouldn’t be used without verifying.

I was curious ab the app so I singed up for the free 7 day trail and cancelled the next day I just sent a refund request to Apple

This app uses crowd sourcing to get reviews that share whether or not a restaurant uses seed oils. Unfortunately this doesn’t work. If you blindly trust this app you will end up eating more seed oils, not less.
People will leave reviews saying a place of seed oil free, but if you actually ask the staff you’ll learn that is false.
I’ve also experienced the opposite, where a place that IS seed oil free is marked on the app as using seed oil for everything.
This app is a waste of time and a waste of money.
