This product should never have been released

Sens.ai have clearly rushed this product to market far to fast. Simply put, the whole setup costs $1000, and doesn’t work. The headset looks and feels cheap. Then it takes about 30 minutes to connect, constantly getting the water levels right. On the other hand, on the ONE time I could get it to work, I felt deeply relaxed and slept incredibly well. I genuinely feel that Sens.ai should offer a full refund, or at least provide Version 2 of the product free to any purchaser of what’s clearly the current beta version.

cost-device and subscription vs poor quality construction and frustrating user experience

i bought my first which had a headset ear speaker fail right after warranty ended. i bought a second device which now has connectivity issues. the device price has come down but is a lot and an additional expensive and for the most part required subscription. i wanted this to work and gave it a huge effort on my end.

Headset HW quality is inferior

It is very expensive device and costs $1500 plus $60 monthly subscription.

I got my headset replaced with pulse generator not fitting. Again, it’s right ear bud doesn’t work and seems to have internal wiring connection. I doubt if headset will survive beyond one year warranty period.

Also, app is very monotonous, don’t show progress through the measurements it takes. Star and galaxy theme is a bit fantasy land. I am here for real experience and not some Star Wars fantasy club.

Don’t buy

I bought this headset, and they don’t really advertise that it is subscription based but when I got it I was so excited I bought it anyways, I was away from home for some time so I cx the subscription, in the meantime it was raised to over 300 a year. They gave me a discount then my dad thought it was fraud, so then I email them to be like that was miscommunication wouldn’t revive the discount to me. I used a good bit, saw no real difference. Won’t be able to tell if it does much long term because they are greedy.

Very expensive with out much improvements.

I ve have the device since launch date which is 2 plus years and have found the device to be very finicky. The sensors can be very frustrating to connect. They increased the price for yearly subscriptions even though they promised to keep the price for original buyers.and they took away features that were once free. I want to like this device and have hopes for it since it has alot of potential but when I reached out to customer service about these concerns they gave a very much dismissive answer. Don’t recommend. Look elsewhere. Doesn’t seem to show they are planning to add more for hight cost.

Best choice!

Phenomenal… my perimenopause symptoms are almost gone after a few months of using this. I suspect it is because I’m no longer living in fight or flight - I finally have energy and inspiration to be creative again now that I’m sleeping! Don’t wait, get it!

DON’T. GIVE. UP.

If they explained it, it wouldn’t work.

I’ve spent my life chasing all forms of neuroplasticity. This is a scalpel to psilocybin’s sledgehammer, a purposeful mountain climb to DMT’s rocket ship. This is where the juice is, with no pulp to strain.

I would fight for this headset

Waste of money.

Really? First you remove everything for non-members, and now you’ve raised membership to £350 a year. I can’t believe I wasted £1,500 on this.

Buggy and almost never worked

I’ve had this for 2 yrs and it barely works. Over +$200 each year subscription for something that has poor Bluetooth connectivity and buggy UI and software. Disappointed

Needs background mode (but other than that works great!)

It would be extremely helpful to be able to turn off the screen, especially when doing sleep prep. It works so well I fall asleep quickly, but that means my phone is on all night.

Brain Beast Mode

I have brain injury and when I use this consistently my brain is functioning at a much greater capacity. The science is real, the results are equally as real. IF you use it!

Too expensive

Too expensive for what it does. They charge high subscription fee and it is absolutely not clear what this subscription is actually giving you. I had it for half a year and there was no change in just a few activities that they offer . The device is already expensive at 1500 $ and then 239 $ plus tax per year charge on top of that. For that amount of money the content is not worth it, too limited and boring

Don’t waste your money. Muse and Mendi are cheaper and actually work

I wanted to test Sens.ai as a replacement for my Muse after watching a couple of inspiring interviews with the founder, Paola Tefler. I was excited to try it, thinking it would be more advanced, but honestly, it feels like a total fraud.
1. The neurofeedback seems completely random and doesn’t feel like it does anything meaningful. It’s basically useless.
2. The connection breaks constantly, so you can’t even properly test if the neurofeedback works or not. It’s frustrating, and honestly, it’s better to meditate without this device.
3. I ordered the open-box option, but the device looked heavily used, and the battery is in terrible shape.

The website says they have a 30-day return policy, but the fine print excludes open-box items. Sure, I didn’t check all the small details, but it feels like the company is deliberately misleading people—especially when they market themselves as helping people like me with ADHD. Instead, it feels like they’re just trying to take advantage of us.

I love Muse and highly recommend it to anyone. I also use Mendi for concentration practice, and both are miles ahead of Sens.ai.

Awesome product and app

Highly recommend is you are serious about training your brain. Really well done. Thank you.

Working now

Disappointed - app would not load to anything when calm heart is selected. Now it’s 72hr wait to get help to fix brand new headset.

Highly recommend from a general skeptic of stuff like this

I have been a (very) casual meditator for several years, so I wouldn’t say Im particularly experienced with mindfulness, but Im not a newbie. I am also generally very anti pretty much anything for my health, and while I am a naturally fit and mentally well person, I recently did start therapy which has been helpful. With that context, I could not recommend this device and the app more highly. I dont want to oversell it - it’s not the kind of thing where you will instantly notice changes. But as someone who struggles tremendously with focus, being still and calm, and can often get overwhelmed (I do overwork myself, I work in finance and work about 80 hours a week on average in my mid 30s), and I would say this device has helped me become more in touch and aware of my mental state and its relation to my physical senses, and over the last year that Ive used it, helped me master control of my states of minds and emotions in.a way nothing else has. I use it nearly everyday, and at times it doesn’t always connect properly, and I find some days I struggle and other days its a breeze to run through the sessions, but for such an expensive device (and i live a relatively spartan life, haven’t updated my iPhone in 7 years, and dont generally buy new gadgets or care about that stuff), I find it to be worth every penny. However, if youre someone who doesn’t have the time, interest, or patience to spend at least a half hour 5 days a week on this, it may not be worth the expense and effort. I have not used any other similar devices on the market and have little to compare to, but there’s a lot of positive data on neurofeedback training out there in peer reviewed studies. Im not a huberman guy, although of course familiar with him, but I imagine if I had to guess he’d have positive things to say about it too.

Issue with the app. It won’t allow me to log into my account and use it

was really excited to test out the product but as soon as I went to log into the app and use it, it doesn’t allow me to do so and just keeps telling me to try again later.

once this is resolved, happy to come back and submit a much better review of the app after I get to experience it and use it for the first time.

Great product

So comfortable and love the missions. Makes it adventurous and fun.

The technology is so buggy

The Sens.ai headset cost about $1000 usd and it always has trouble pairing. You either don’t get enough water or too much water on the sensors. Or you need to nestle the headset multiple times in place, but then by that time you need to re-wet the sensors again. It takes 20 min on average before you can even set the tech up and do a brain training session. Terrible.
