Not intuitive need a good video to slowly and clear demo all the features
A real band to practice with Wow!
Now I have a true band to work with even though it’s prerecorded. But it sounds live and airy. Love your product. I own: Jazz 1, Jazz 2, Soul Jazz 2 and 4.
Poor edit page
Good loops but the whole app is not well designed.
No pause/play button in the edit screen.
This basic feature has been requested for years but developers don’t listen.
The app needs updates based on users’ feedback.

Really restrictive workflow
I just can’t get to grips with it, the workflow is irritating and just not straight forward to aid getting anything done. Sure, it sounds nice, but you soon get sick of hearing the same loop over and over as you attempt to build anything with it. I’ll stick with playing my own parts in future. Thanks for making it free so I could try it, but this is of little use to anyone trying to do anything beyond creating a basic jam track for practice

I like this app very much and I bought pretty much all of them - too bad I did not recognise the bundle offers :-))
What I really miss is certain chord qualities in some apps and slash chords are not possible at all.
Still there are a lot of possibilites.
I would be great to be able to import the song structure from one session app in another one, maybe you guys could make this possible, at least from Jazz 1 to 2 and 3 or vice versa.
Also please add a complete index of all the demo songs and their chord structures (as PDF) - I would pay extra for that!

Useful practice tool
I use it a lot for practicing jazz sax. Especially good for going over chord progression to learn them. Very good to be able to take out and put back band instruments allowing you to become more aware of bass and drums and play more rhythmically. Easy to transpose to allow me to move from tenor to alto.

Excellent app, but...
Love this one as well as the other two. Please update as you have with 2 and 3 as it crashes and my songs are stuck in the app. Keep on making stellar sounds!
Update: months ago there was an update. But soon after, all three Sessions apps crashed before I could even load them. Help please. I would love to access my tunes...
Fixed! The problem with 2 and 3 was that iPad was on zoom in display and I couldn’t see the whole dashboard. Thanks!

Very useful
We use it regularly in saxophone jazz lessons with saxo teacher. Very useful in jazz improvisation training.

If you want a play along for improvisation look no future. Quick transpose and this one includes 7/4 and 5/4 plus an awesome Motown groove. Great fun for pro and semi pros who love a variety of jazz themes
Customise backing tracks
Edited review: no more crashes. Very useful for creating your own backing tracks. Can export tracks or just use within app and play it through any Bluetooth speakers to jam (really useful, not all apps have that feature)
Fantastic!
This is like a cross between iReal Pro and Band in a Box with real tracks. I love the sound of BiaB with real tracks but it isn't convenient to have the computer all of the time. This fills in the gap and gives me the better sound quality I'm missing from iReal.

Great sounds, limited functionality
I purchased volumes 1,2 and 3 thinking that this app would be an improvement over the iReal Pro app in terms of play along sound quality. As far as sound goes, this app is excellent, however, it's missing some very fundamental cords and can't perform slash-cords either. This app has great potential but needs some updates.
