New Update Ruined the App
The app was fine the way it was but the new update made the UI so ugly and difficult to use. Please change it back to how it used to look.
Completely broken
I just tried to pay my credit card bill and just couldn’t do it with the app
Getting worse
The app builders need to get it together!!! Now I can’t see my accounts when I login.

Ever since they updated the app i haven’t been able to see anything in my accounts. the first two days it was working perfectly, after that it didn’t load anything just a white screen. i’ve even uninstalled and reinstalled smh. Have to call customer service to do anything regarding my account.

I’m racking up late fees and interest charges. Bank customer service say they know there is a problem but give no idea when it will be fixed.
They recommend deleting the app and reinstalling which I’ve done several times.
Recommend clearing cash and history with if done several time.
They don’t seam to actually have web of app support.

Horrible
Horrible horrible horrible.
I tried transferring mom to my mom’s account (also a member of SFFCU) and previously her account was on the app. Now with this new app I tried linking her account to do regular transactions but it asking for a shareID/loanID
I tried looking for that put it what I thought the example showed me and it doesn’t work. So then I call the SFFCU multiple times when I bring up the app the call disconnects me it happened 4 times I got far with one person but then I ask about the app and the situation the call drops what is going on??? Plus the Face ID was easier previously now I have to press the button to make it work and sometimes the Face ID doesn’t recognize my mom on her app… ugh stop changing the app it was fine 3 updates ago.

Old version is better
The last version was way better and much more simpler

Does not have Zelle has Slower option
To have an option like Zelle you have to add the persons information and then it takes 3-5 days for that person to get added to your account and then you can transfer money to them like Zelle which is an instant transfer.
Better than you think, but needs work
The UI is using some dated elements. The app is very reminiscent of the 2015-17 year of app styles. That sort of gives you the sense that it’ll be unreliable or glitchey. It is not either of those things, but the dated UI is definitely not up to today’s standards
Hometown Union Bank
This is has all its “i’s” dotted and its “t’s” crossed! They are top notched for customer service. I like that the banker will give you an extension number so you don’t have to repeat the process again; they know you. The call center needs more direction or the initial AI prompt needs to say these are all the skills our call canter can do. You can even delineate “tasks” for the call center’s abilities. That’s it five stars and a bit of tweaking with the call center! From a very happy customer for multiple decades!

Good app overall, but...
New design doesn't use space well--too vertically spread out, so: much shuffling around. Takes 'not looking cramped' too far.

Transfers and deposits had been good. I’m not too fond of the swiping (if you have multiple accounts). I’d rather view multiple accounts in one and scroll down to choose.

No way to search and find payment scheduled. Can’t manage payment at all. Worse than the website which doesn’t work either. 0 star.

Long Distance Save!
I arrived in Guadalajara yesterday, stopped at an airport ATM, the machine ate my card! I went out the doors, stopped and put the card immediately on hold using this app. What a breath of fresh air. I had more traveling to do and after arrival at my final destination and finding good cellular reception, I went on the app and got the number to call the Helpline. Also on the app is the information I needed to identify the card that was lost, the card I wanted to put a new pass code on, and got staff to guide me along the way, assuring that my lost card was now invalid, and how to change my pin number on another card in my possession. The staff were amazingly patient and I apologize for not remembering their names to give them a thumbs up here and for their bosses to appreciate the professionalism they have in the staff working for them. I was told I could make a withdrawal immediately after changing my pin. Thank you all!
10 minutes after I hung up the phone I had my withdrawal. Hey, I stopped to take some photos on the way to the ATM, after all, I am traveling far from home.

New app is meh.
Honestly the redesign is not great. It’s confusing and honestly such a hard shift. They should have introduced the new changes slowly over time.

Times change and SFFU has, once again, changed for the better with its new and improved on-line banking portal. Thirty year member here
