Despite loads of support tickets reporting this app no longer works, the developer keeps saying an update is “coming soon” and to just “use the browser”
The browser doesn’t enable one of the main use cases for the 4 Pro - radio-free digital modes. You need the app for that. And this app just flat doesn’t work and hasn’t for years.

Works but terrible user interface
Unusable with VoiceOver
I made the mistake of not checking out this app before purchasing an Openspot 4 Pro. Since the app hasn't been updated in a year or so, it's probably safe to say that things are not being maintained. Although a few of the controls are able to be surfaced and activated with VoiceOver recognition enabled, the app tends to freeze up which also results in VO hanging or becoming super slow to respond.
All in all, this app version is currently unusable by hams relying on accessibility functionality.

Unusable
Installed on a iPhone 14 OS version 16.5.
Was able to enter in the UID, was able to see the open spot status screen, when attempting to change screens, the software locked up and unable to do anything. Deleted and reinstalled still locked up, not able to even enter in the UI D.

Completely inaccessible to blind users
There are a lot of hams who are blind and use open spot devices such as myself. This app is completely inaccessible to us. You need to make it so that it works with voiceover, Apple's built in screen reader which allows blind people to use many apps and functions of the iPhone.

Works as it should and nice to have access without a radio keeps the xyl from noticing ham radio she thinks it’s a cell call hi hi works for me
Useless, doesn’t work at all
Is this app supposed to do something? When I open it I can touch any area in the screen and doesn’t do anything. Garbage. What a disappointment, with how expensive those openspots are and they can’t even have a useful app.

App has potential but right now does nothing for me. Can’t pair Openspot with it. Iphone14 pro max user. Hopefully updates will fix issue.

The app to work with the openspot3,4 & 4 pro is a great idea. There is however big problem with this version, the app doesn’t respond to clicking on the buttons in the appropriate screen locations. This stops you from using the setting button, the + button. Until fixed may as well not use it.

Open spot
Does not work
Great advance
Having used peanut a lot, this new option makes the openspot4 pro superb. Now we need to go one step further and have the Apple Watch iwatch capability added.
Very Disappointing
I hane the Openspot 4 Pro. I bought the new iPhone 14 Pro Max to use as a transceiver. The app won’t open so it is unusable. Very disappointed!!!
Works ok with my Openspot 4
The main issue I have is that when my IPhone 12 locks the screen after 30 secs, the app cuts the audio stream.
Non-functional
Does not work. I have a brand new OpenSpot 4 Pro. It doesn’t show up at all.

Keyboard unresponsive on iOS 16.1.2 on iPh 12. Doesn’t seem to be doing anything or connecting to OpenSpot4. Unusable as is and not giving a good end user experience.
Still Non Operational
Found that all buttons/links are positionally off by 3/8 on an inch. But by tapping below the icon it is responsive. But still non operational with my OpenSPOT 4 Pro because you can not get below the PTT button to activate it.

The app needs a bit of work but promising
The app is very promising where all I will need to do is carry my iPhone and OpenSpot 4 Pro. I can switch profiles, talk/listen using any format, and the audio is very clear both listening and talking.
The current issues:
- Pushing the various icons directly does not work, you need to push a bit below the icon to make anything work, and the bottom buttons don’t work.
- PTT button you definitely have to push the very bottom of the phone and not the PTT button. And sometimes it gets stuck on key up and the screen turns completely black.
- When the screen goes completely black, you have to exit and restart the app.
The pros outweigh the cons so I will wait for the updates to see if the action icons line up with where you need to push, and may be using this significantly more when traveling.
