About

A structured walk, without watching a stopwatch. ShinshuCore guides you through Interval Walking Training (IWT): 3 minutes of brisk walking, 3 minutes of easy walking, repeated 5 times. One session takes 30 minutes. Sound, haptics, and Live Activity help you follow the intervals while your phone stays in your pocket. THE SHINSHU METHOD IWT was developed by Dr. Hiroshi Nose and colleagues at Shinshu University in Japan. ShinshuCore follows the 3+3-minute structure and tracks a weekly target of 4 sessions and 60 minutes of brisk walking. Choose a pace that suits you. BUILT FOR YOUR WALK • Guided intervals, with pause and resume • Audio and haptic cues at pace changes • Timer on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island on supported iPhones • Heart-rate display when compatible heart-rate data is available through Apple Health • Automatic steps, cadence, and distance tracking, with the relevant permissions • Weekly progress and a Home Screen widget • Workout history and CSV export • Completed workouts saved to Apple Health, with your permission FREE AND PRIVATE No account, no subscription, no advertising. ShinshuCore has no backend and does not send your workout data to our servers. You control the Health, motion, location, and notification permissions. APP LANGUAGES English, Polish, German, Spanish, French, Japanese, and Portuguese (Brazil). Change the language in the app's settings. REQUIREMENTS An iPhone running iOS 17 or later.
