this app is such a game changer, i love the sweet interactions you get with the AI and with real people in the community. it’s gentle, encouraging, and meets you where you’re at. perfect for someone who’s having a hard time even just getting out of bed in the morning like me.

shmoody charged my paypal $42.39 that paypal covered and then put my account in the negatives. i dont recall even downloading this app but i know if i did, i DEFINITELY wouldve cancelled before the trial ended and i was still charged. i see so many reviews of being blocked from cancelling the trial or being double charged. i am going through h3ll trying to resolve this as this is affecting my business with canadian customers considering they really only have paypal to send $ through. i have filed a dispute with apple and shmoody. i believe shmoody is a fraudalent app and will be facing a large lawsuit soon. i have no idea how its still on the app store. so much for mental health help, right? even if that was something i was looking for, they want to steal a mentally ill persons $ and block them from cancelling a trial.

This is the only personal development app I’ve ever stuck with. Like most of us , i tend to neglect the self improvement journey, but this is so nice and helpful for me. Well worth paying $40/ yearly subscription in my opinion.

Shmoody is a great app! I love the activity suggestions. I have come across a few bugs, nothing too bad, although I’ve been suggested to ‘Eat a snack with protein’ seven times in a row. Keep up the great work!!

Rarely use it
I rarely use us,I been trying to cancel it for awhile and the app will not allowed to cancel and I have no idea how to cancel something that I do not use.

I hadn’t used this app in over a year and recently discovered more than £130 had been taken from my bank account. I was not aware of any active subscription and certainly did not knowingly authorise these payments.
I’ve contacted support requesting a refund and clarification, and I hope they resolve this promptly.
For an app marketed as ADHD-friendly, the subscription handling feels anything but. Many users with ADHD struggle with tracking recurring payments, which makes unexpected charges especially frustrating.
Very disappointing experience — I would advise others to double-check their subscriptions carefully.

AI cat vibes meets pseudo-positive psychology startup
I wanted to like this app. I REALLY wanted to love it-- it's the first of its kind that's actually affordable 💥 but, unfortunately, it just felt like an endless horribly-gamified tutorial. After each step of the setup, you have to watch a dumb, unskippable, animation of a cat dancing with imaginary points that rack up like you're giving a Google Maps review or something. Then there's the infinite, unskippable AI chat bot tutorial. Even though EVERY SINGLE AI EXPERT EVER says to not use AI for emotional support, this app basically forces the user to go down this dark path. Look, I'm glad it helps others, but, as someone who was unable to complete the tutorial, I really don't recommend this app. It feels disrespectful to my time.

Cancelled months ago and removed the app. Still had an attempted $101.50 charge today (bank blocked it). I have receipts. Shady billing — be careful

This app charged me even after canceling the free trial and not having an active account, no where on the app did it say I had a paid account yet they charged me over $200.
It’s okay
This app is great for people who really want to relax and understand themselves, it’s just, it feels more like a lesson than an app that helps understand you more. Not a bad app, but if you prefer straight answers I wouldn’t recommend downloading, no hate though 💗

I can get overwhelmed with everything that needs done and this helps me focus on one moment at a time. I enjoy chatting with the cat too.

It was there when I really needed it
I was in a really dark place around a year ago and Shmoody really helped me pull myself out of the rut I had gotten stuck in. I will absolutely use when I need it again
