This app got me started and that’s awesome but I’ve discovered so many problems. Ask AI about this app before putting money down. This app will not push data for some workouts or it will do it hours later with wrong data like it never ended the workout. Maybe because I hit end workout then when I go back in later to download my pic the end button is there like I never it hit. What’s my PR for bench press? I don’t know and the app doesn’t keep track for PR for the user. It will tell you when you hit a PR but you can’t go back and look at your PR’s. Often I get instructions in English follows by instructions in random unrecognizable Slavic sounding languages. If I tap the video the text doesn’t go away anymore forcing me to go into full screen mode. Doesn’t always show enough angles. I’m often wondering where my hands are supposed to be. There is no settings or ability to enlarge text even though theres plenty of blank space. Whatever next year I’m trying Fitbod

Good App In Need of QA
This is a good app, I like the workouts it generates, and the tracking in the watch / phone is good… When it works. Unfortunately every update is a dice roll, some things fixed, some new glitches introduced.
Motivating but needs customization
I feel Shred is one of the most motivating fitness apps I’ve used and I’ve used them all. It has just enough of the community element without being distracting or influencer driven. The workouts are challenging and you can customize based on frequency and equipment.
So why four stars? For anyone who’s mildly experience with training or weight lifting, you’ll find yourself wishing for more control over workouts. For example, I can’t create my own from-scratch workout. You have to rely on what Shred’s algorithm creates for you. Also, for workouts skew MUCH longer. A “30 minute” workout usually lasts me
45 mins to an 60 mins or more, and I follow the rests accurately.
Also, if you really like data about your progress, this app may not be for you. It’s impossible to find PRs for individual exercises unless you’re in the middle of a workout (there’s a button to see historical data for an exercise there).
Another quirk with Shred is editing. Sometimes i like to edit my days workout in advance. But, if you close the app, it loses your edits and you have to start all over.
Overall, Shred is outstanding and motivating despite some quirks.

Membership Cancelled - glitchy and useless ai
I’ve been using the app for almost a year now and over the past few months it has become extremely glitchy
The ai does not make adjustments to workouts despite that being advertised, i think I’ve told it over 5 times over the past few months to give me more machine oriented workouts (yes the relevant equipment is selected in settings) and it just doesn’t listen despite giving a confirmation “the next workout will include more machine oriented workouts”
The phone app and apple watch app lose sync causing incorrect data being written to apple health
The apps buttons just stop working during workouts, clicking next before a rest doesn’t go to rest but the next workout begins. Force quitting restores functionality but I’ve had a workout completely reset as a result OR the app recovers but the apple watch app thinks you have the workout paused
Not sure if the devs have embraced vibe coding recently, but recent app performance tells me “probably”
Canceling membership and going back to traditional workout tracking, really wanted this app to work out!

This app is awesome!
Love this app The only thing wish you could communicate with other people that would be good. But other than that Worth the money I spend every month. Complete workout app so far the best app I’ve had.
Too rigid
Interface once your workout has started is awful. Doesn’t include all equipment or all options for muscle groups.
Crash / Bugs
This app has decent workouts, but I’m constantly emailing support to find out when a bug is going to get fixed. The most recent makes the app unusable. Do a trial before buying
Awesome
I’ve tried a number of apps, spreadsheets, and online workout programs over the years and this is by far my favorite. No more wasted set trying to remember what weight to start at and I like the rotation of workouts. I’ve been using consistently it for over a year and will continue!

Whether I’m working out on the go or at my home gym, this app can do it all. Though the company has true fitness gurus, it also has a strong continuous improvement mindset which has shown app improvements on a regular basis. Any company can scam you one time, but a great company makes you want to do business with them year after year.
I appreciate the tailored workouts and interactions where you are cheered on by the global community! It has helped me to remain focused and committed in ways other apps (and in person gyms) did not. Excited to see what’s next from this app!

App has you using 2 different types of equipment in one round not gonna work in a public gym with equipment on different areas of the gym and packed with people
Best app!
Been using Shred and I really like how easy it is to find a workout that fits my day! There are many different programs and workouts and love that I can use it at home and at the gym. It is now easier for me to stay consistent even when schedule is busy. Also love the short form videos especially on days when I only have a little time but still want to move. As a nurse, I really appreciate the special discount too! Their customer service has been great and helpful whenever I needed support. Overall, I am really happy with Shred and would love definitely recommend it!!

outstanding issues
"The overall exercise routines are very good. However, the app doesn’t allow you to edit data. If you accidentally input the wrong weight or reps, you have to delete everything you've already done and re type it all again. The spellcheck feature in the notes works, but the cursor jumps in the middle of words, causing frustration. As a result, users end up spending more time dealing with these issues. Both problems were raised months ago with no resolution."

Best app
This is the best fitness app out there. Support team is crazy responsive and the workouts and options are incredible. Has changed my workouts and commitment to the gym and fitness. For 100$ a year people spend that more on drinks for a night out. Invest in yourself, download the app, and get after it.
