About
SidecarBridge turns your iPhone or iPad into a private local viewer and remote control surface for your Mac.
Connect over the same Wi-Fi or a nearby peer-to-peer connection, then view your Mac screen and control it using touch, a trackpad, Magic Keyboard, or Apple Pencil.
FEATURES
• Encrypted local pairing with a one-time code and remembered trusted devices
• Same-Wi-Fi and nearby peer-to-peer discovery
• Hardware-encoded Mac screen streaming
• Relative touch and trackpad control, left/right/double click, drag, scroll, and pinch-to-zoom
• Hardware and on-screen keyboard input, including Chinese/English input switching
• Encrypted file transfer between Mac and iPhone or iPad
• Picture in Picture background viewing where supported
PRIVACY AND REQUIREMENTS
SidecarBridge is designed for personal use on local and nearby networks. It does not require an Internet connection for a direct session and does not send your screen through a SidecarBridge cloud server. Both devices need SidecarBridge. The Mac app requires Screen Recording permission to stream and Accessibility permission for remote input.
SidecarBridge mirrors your Mac's main display. It does not create a native extended display and does not bypass Apple's security, device management, code-signing, or App Store protections.
