Thought it would be better
Works now (didn’t before)or at least I think it does. It won’t let me log in, because it wants to download my WHOLE library, to a PHONE. No phone has enough storage for that. Poorly designed. Would NOT recommend

FIX UR MOBILE APP
Legit I’ve been using this app since 2019 and for some reason the software is the lowest it’s ever been, it takes I’m not even joking 30-1 hour to connect to my printer via phone. Stop making ppl buy into your shi software if your not even gonna update it, like in this year of 2026 DO BETTER this shi is so slow im bout to start painting on my clothes

App broken
Made 3 different accounts and it won’t let me sign in using any of them. Despite me just setting them up. It keeps saying “something went wrong”
Sudden paywall for features it had
Now there is a pay wall against the features I have been using for years. Con artists. This is likely class action worthy.

Design won’t download
The design I need for a project won’t download even though it was purchased directly from the design store. Also, the app constantly makes me re-download my fonts
Was better before the update
Before the update I was able to do so much more. Even though I only occasionally use my machine, it was an awesome tool. Now, I can’t do anything. Even if I make my own SVG files. Now I have to have a stupid subscription, which for someone whom occasionally uses it, it makes no sense! Dislike the app, dislike the brand. I’m looking at the competitor now.

Many Icons, but no select button. No instruction guide to be found. Nothing available at Silhouette site. Over a decade of using Silhouette I’m about to switch to the competition.

Katastrophal (hoch 3!)
Seit dem neusten Update, bei dem mehr Funktionen freigeschaltet worden sind funktioniert die App überhaupt nicht mehr. Ich habe dafür bezahlt, dass ich Designer Studio habe und konnte früher Dateien von meinem iPad ausplotten, auch ohne Anmeldung - jetzt hängt sich die App auf. Meine externe Tastatur wird vom Programm nicht erkannt, sodass ich auch Texte (bspw. Namen) nicht mehr einfach in der App erstellen kann. Es ist die Pest. Keine Ahnung, was man sich dabei gedacht hat - ich hätte lieber wieder die alte Version der App ohne die ganzen Zusatzfunktionen, wenn sie dafür wenigsten läuft! Edit: Ich glaube es hackt - wenn man den Kamerazugriff der App ausschaltet (die Kamera wird als permanent sendend angezeigt, ich gehe davon aus, dass Ton ebenfalls mitgeschnitten wird, sobald die App läuft), startet die App nicht mehr. Ihr habt sie ja wohl nicht mehr alle, ich nutze den Plotter in der Schule - damit verstoßt ihr ganz klar gegen die DSGVO! Früher war das hier mal eine schlanke, datenschutzkonforme App, die stabil lief. Das ist jetzt alles passé. Ich darf mich nun nach einer Alternative umschauen.

Don’t bother….
App won’t let you log in…keeps saying “something went wrong”. Tried getting tech support, eventually they gave up as well and stopped responding. This is the only Silhouette product that I have trouble with.
App is more useless than ever
Now I can’t import an image from my iPhone 16 pro max that is on the latest version of iOS. My app is updated. Here I sit no matter what I do I can’t add an image to the app.
What’s more concerning is the use of the camera on my phone during the entire time I’m in the app. I don’t authorize you to watch me. There is zero camera feature for the software. Therefore, shouldn’t even have access to my camera on my phone whatsoever. Nice try weirdos!

カメラアクセスを許可しないと起動できない。許可して起動するとアプリ使用中は常時カメラを使用している(緑ランプ点灯)。何に使用しているか不明。初回The app can use the camera to trace a photo such as a logo.と出るが常時起動する意味が分からない。

Removed the free SVG use
Got this so I don’t have to pay fees to use my own designs and now they have removed the free SVG use, so now a $400 machine is unusable to me unless I keep paying.
