The pickup time changed randomly, the new pickups popped up during my trip and detoured to another direction. It took me 45 minutes to my destination 2 miles away.
Unreliable
If you are planning on using this app to get too and from work DO NOT drivers can show up 10 minutes early to your pickup with no warning and leave without you. You can book a ride at 11:am and not arrive at your destination untill past noon! Im 100% serious.
Extremely Unreliable
I wait. And I wait. And I wait. If you want to get a ride on time, don’t use hopper. If you have time to kill, go ahead. Only reason it’s two stars is because the drivers themselves are great. Management is absolutely horrendous. If you book thirty minutes ahead, it’ll come twenty minutes early and you’re not ready or aware. Book ten minutes ahead and you’ll be late by 30 minutes, at least.

Idk why almost all ur drivers can’t do their jobs like almost every time I book a ride it’s either super late, the driver DOESNT MOVE for 30 minutes and I get a new driver that’s even further away, or the guy cancels my ride and I get a diff ride???????? And they charge me every time I cancel the ride even tho it’s not even my fault

Slow. Unbelievably slow. If you want to arrive to a destination at a specific time, expect yourself to arrive half an hour late.
Thank you for a cheaper way to get around Santa Clara County
Now I can get to Echo.Church in Sunnyvale on my own and get to Kaiser Santa Clara on my own with affordable prices
Horrible App
I used the app and was about to be dropped off at a completely random location which was in the opposite direction of which my destination was. When I contacted support - it took me 10 mins just to explain to them what had happened and they kept repeating that it is normal to be dropped off slightly away from the recorded destination. I kept telling them then it was not slightly away - it is miles away.
The customer service is mostly useless - they almost certainly tell me what I already know. That my ride is away x mins.
If the ride is delayed 15-20 mins also - they don’t give an option to cancel without charge. And you will be charged.
Multiple times using their service - my ride has delayed 30+ mins.

Extremely unreliable service
In carpool you can pickup customers along the route and reach final destination. But with silicon valley hopper, they will pickup and drop customers in all directions before reaching your destination. Worst service ever. Don't use
Stop the $1 penalty when it’s clearly on your end
Before anything let me make clear I really like Hopper and its drivers are really great people.
However recently I’ve observed a trend where drivers change, or get late, and I still have to pay the penalty if I want to cancel. Whatever change is on your end, especially when it’s about the driver picking me up 10 min earlier or later than anticipated, is your responsibility. Please do not penalize users for this. I apologize for the 1-star review but needed to send a strong signal here.

Extremely unreliable
Every single time I’ve caught a ride from hopper, I have ordered a ride at 7 AM right at the start time and each time it takes the drivers 30 minutes to pick me up, with the app swapping drivers 3 times, and the drivers are shown stopping elsewhere not on the route for extremely long or chatting with their friends. The distance from their parking spots should be at most 10 minutes away so I am always late each time I use SV Hopper. Their service team is very unprofessional and they really need to track their drivers.

App is broken and keeps issuing silly notifications
Getting “why are you not riding with us” notifications once per day! Similar emails! Oh and app does not start up anymore: I get a splash screen and nothing more
Cheap but not reliable at all
It is already so hard to book a ride on the app as it is the drivers don’t make it easier. Some will make you wait 30 mins and not even show up. Like if you’re already not coming why not cancel it and let another driver take over.

The drivers are super impatient and they pick up people on the way of your ride and go to their destination before yours
Hopper in Cupertino
Hopper app is easy to set up. Kiran is an excellent driver & knows the area. I just recently gave my car to a relative & may reconsider using Hopper instead of getting another car. As long as I can get to & from the nearest Costco/Trader Joes/Homedepot/Target/& CVS once in awhile I should be OK!😜
