What's New in SilverStrong

1.0.1

September 18, 2026

This update makes the subscription screen clearer and safer. • One purchase button that states exactly what will happen — the price, the billing period, and when you are charged. • The app now checks with the App Store whether your free trial is actually available before offering it, so you are never shown a trial that cannot be applied to your account. • Every price now appears with its billing period. • A clear "Continue with the free version" option during setup, so staying on the free plan is a single tap. The Check and its score, a full session every day, the movement library and every safety feature remain free.

User reviews

SilverStrong

It’s a good app for elderly who are an ignored demographic and encourages them to move about and is like a PT at your own terms.

Free trial signed me up for year

I had to select “free trial” twice and because the year subscription was selected, I had signed up for a year after the free trial. I looked in the app and did not see a cancel button. I then checked my email. I had an email that told me I would pay for a year if I didn’t cancel. It had a link to cancel which I used to cancel my free trial. I wasn’t sure if I would get another email to cancel before day 7.
The process for signing up and cancelling was uncomfortable. I didn’t stay long enough to try the app.

FAQ

What is the SilverStrong fitness assessment?

The Check is a five-minute test where you stand from a chair and hold balance positions. Your results are scored against published figures for your age and sex to show your current fitness level.

How does SilverStrong personalize workouts?

After each session, you rate the effort and any pain. The app uses this feedback, along with a daily question, to adjust future workouts, increasing difficulty after successful sessions or easing back if pain is reported.

What are the weekly targets in SilverStrong?

SilverStrong tracks three weekly targets: moving minutes, strength days, and balance days. These are measured against the World Health Organization's recommendations for adults, with a special focus on balance.

Is SilverStrong suitable for people with sore joints?

Yes, SilverStrong is designed to accommodate sore joints. Sessions are assembled from movements you can do, including seated or supported options, and exclude exercises that load a joint you've indicated is sore.

What features are free in SilverStrong?

The core features, including The Check assessment and score, a daily workout session, the full movement library, weekly targets, and safety behaviors, are permanently free to use.

What does the SilverStrong Plus subscription offer?

SilverStrong Plus offers unlimited re-checks, trend lines, projected fitness dates, automatically progressing sessions, stiffness comparison, printable reports for doctors, and access to your full history.

How much does SilverStrong Plus cost?

SilverStrong Plus is available for $6.99 per month or $39.99 per year, following a 7-day free trial. Payments are charged to your Apple Account and auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours prior.

What devices does SilverStrong support?

SilverStrong is built for the eyes and hands that will use it and works on iPhone and iPad. It features large type, high contrast, generous buttons, and spoken instructions.
