WORST PIANO LEARNING APP!

Simply piano is not what it looks like. In the adds they claim that they have 5000+ songs! Sounds great until you download the app. First you have to pick one of 6 songs that they chose for you no matter your skill level. Then after the training session (with is really designed for people who don’t really know piano) you finally finish the first song and it shows you a video that you will access a massive song library and personalised courses. I was excited because I (as someone who has played piano for almost 2 years) was really excited to play some really cool songs like the Star Wars theme or something. But after the video finished I clicked on the song that I chose at the start I got put a paywall saying I have to pay $40 a month for One account!!!!!! I know and I want to see those courses. Well If you want to play any song besides the beginner one you have to hand them money. Don’t download it it’s a waste of time and money unless you want to play these songs and have money then go for it. But oh well for most of us we want a free app that teaches you how to play songs that are cool and you don’t have to pay money for but alas so DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS!!!!

Sucks

It gave me like 5 min of free lessons that were easy as f then it asked to charge me like 120 dollars. They said it was free on a YouTube add

The worst thing I ever seen

Hello! I am Apeksha Sake I am from Delhi, India and today I am going tell about this app and my story I saw the adds showed that this app is very good and stuff so I downloaded it then I took some lessons this was a bit difficult the song plays very fast I will say and there are people who don’t
have such money but their kids want to learn piano but if you say it’s free in the adds and it’s not free in real life they will get a scam and please parents there are better apps out there please do not download and remember scammers you are steal from us then you are stealers!! And this review is based on a smart or should I genius girl named Shanvi and this doesn’t always well. This trash in potato mash and please stop this nonsense of subscriptions

SimplyPiano

J’utilise cette application depuis que j’ai 9 ans et la seule chose que j’ai a dire c’est WOW

Won't work with out of tune piano.

If your piano is out of tune. The app does not work.

Stop the pop up

I don’t mind reading the app or the lessons once in a while but every time I play the piano, it asked for another reading. Stop it it’s annoying.

If I could rate is zero stars I would!!!!! :(

I tried it. It was really good at first actually learning to play a song but then, when I was ready to play the song it gave me UNFAIR prices to become a MEMBER!!!! 300$ A YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Simply piano got my hopes up then tore it down I really did think to trust this app but it didn’t work.

Cool I guess

Cool app but if you want to really learn harder piano songs than just get in person lessons

Good but some suggestions:

It’s a very nice app, good with teaching you notes, but I’m having trouble shifting that fast in songs, especially when they say you’re at level with the song and then it makes you feel bad when you don’t know it. Also whenever I make song suggestions I’ve waited a year and none of them have been taken into account

DNS this is great

This is great!

I love this app but

Ok look I really like this game but, you have to pay for it and it can be $230 per year. So if you’re interested in using this app DONT GET IT ! it’s a waste of time and money.

Excepts beginners to make less than 3 mistakes

I have being playing ode to joy for 5 MINUTES! and yet piano thinks I made a mistake. It goes way too fast and when I press a note that is correct in the same spot at the same time it says it’s wrong and when and when I basically just make one mistake, it starts over the whole section

La Alegría

Si

Meh.

At first, this app was a fun, encouraging, easy to navigate app. You feel like you’re making so much process, and you are! But then it gets difficult, and you start making mistakes. The app handles it well at first. It just starts you from the top and you can keep going. But then, if you keep messing up, it slows down the tempo. That’s also fine! But the app is sooooo condescending about it! It brings down the quality of the whole app. It makes you want to quit, like they don’t even want you to learn the piano. I want to quit because of it, and I haven’t even been playing for a week!

IM IRRITATED CAUSE HALFWAY IN MY LESSON IM GONNA FINISH I HAVE TO PAY FOR A SONG $224.99 A YEAR YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING WITH YOUR PLAYING IN MY DAMN FACE!!

Simply

Very good and has really helped Sophia on the piano

Bad

This simply piano is really bad some of their songs have been gone and it’s really expensive!

2nd subscription but won’t be renewing

This app is very good if you want to get into piano and learn the basics but it is expensive and I’m not sure it is the best long term answer to improving piano skills. I did lessons growing up and it has been great to learn how to play again but like with a lot of apps that teach a particular skill, really improving and retaining that knowledge is minimal at best. Often you are only learning part of a song not the whole composition and a lot of resources seems to go into the challenges which aren’t necessary suited to what I want to learn. You have to play a lot of songs that you don’t want to learn to progress in the courses. It’s a great starting point but I think the app could be calibrated to aid genuine learning than gamification, particularly for the price.

Amazing.

I learned how to read sheet music and how to read each note for both hands all in one day. I am amazed. Features like being able to talk to real piano experts or AI about piano questions is jaw-dropping. This might be better than taking real piano lessons; I learned so quickly! I would definitely recommend this for beginners. 👌
