The end of a legend
I have loved Skype for so long as it has a few bugs but always call my cousins on it and have a good time and it’s so sad to see that this app has to come to an end. Microsoft I beg you to keep Skype and teams please Skype is a legend and will always be one

Only the sounds of this app makes me cry, the amount of nostalgia it brings to me is crazy, I’m still not getting over the fact that this legend is retiring, I hope that this is just a goodbye. Thank you Skype for being here for all these years
I use it to communicate with my family in the philippines
it was long time ago when had typhoon surge in our province in the philippines .everything went block out, no internet.. and then i remember that i could use skype to call them. so i bought $10 worth of load from skype so i can call them and eased my worrying.. it tooks long time before i could reach them because no power to charge their Cellphones. But after 1 week of trying finally i could talk to them.. and thank God my family were safe… And thanking to skype. For 10$ i could tak to them for 2 hrs. instead of using of others that they billed you too much…

A bit confusing until you get used to it.
I use the app to speak to my mother in a care facility across the country. She can’t use it on her end, requiring help for getting set up. From my side it’s a decent app. My only big complaint/confusion is the design of the Skype call notification box that pops up. While I’m used to it now having a check mark as the button to push to activate the call and an x next to it to exit the call caused problems. I understand the theory behind it but to some generations x-“marks the spot” makes us think (initially) that that’s the button to answer. Wouldn’t it be simpler to just add “answer” and “hang up” under each button? I have a minor annoyance with always having to activate my camera in the program when I’m called. Again, it’s pictorial, and takes getting used to. But all things considered it does a good job. It could use clearer documentation and buttons is all.

I have used Skype since 3rd grade now I am in 10th best app for tutoring so sad to hear it go I use to talk to my friends on it for gaming such a good app sadly it’s gone I never thought this would happen and I took it for granted so sad to see it go. It’s like I’m losing memories and a friend. Super sad and I hope teams will give the same vibe but it will never be Skype

Skype is wonderful
I use Skype to talk with my friends in Asia. Skype translates live conversations well. Teams not so much. Teams is so bad with the auto-translate that we can't have a decent conversation.

Don’t even think about getting the same service on Teams. As a loyal 10 years customer, I could never even think of being betrayed by Microsoft like this. Team is in no way shape or form a replacement for Skype cloud phone services and the company simply doesn’t care what happens to those establishing their business and livelihood on that.

I love skype so much its very straightforward and easy to use. I am so sad that it’s shutting down because i talk to my dad on here and its the only way i can communicate with him so finding a different app to text will be very hard.

Come to be so reliant on this wonderful app - the only way I can stay in touch with my dear aged mother who is in residential aged care so far away… thank you for always being there for us!
